DONOR FAQS

The following are the most frequently asked questions that we receive about
donating and our fundraising activities.

HOW CAN I REQUEST A DONATION TAX RECEIPT?

If your donation is made online, a tax receipt will be emailed to you
immediately. If your donation is made via mail or phone, a tax receipt will be
mailed to you within one week. In the event that your receipt has been lost or
misplaced or you have moved, a duplicate receipt can be issued. Please call us
toll-free at 1-800-268-3062 or contact us online.

HOW CAN I EASILY UPDATE MY DONOR INFORMATION WITH YOU?

If you would like to update your name, address or phone number, or if you would
like to update your credit card or banking information for your monthly gift,
please call us toll-free at 1-800-268-3062 or contact us online.

WHERE DOES MY MONEY GO?

Donations provide critical funding to ensure we are open for young people in
Canada 24/7/365, providing a safe and trusted place in any moment of crisis or
need. Whether it’s funding our professional counselling service, expanding an
innovative new service like Kids Help Phone’s texting service or ensuring our
researched-based information and resources are always available on our website.
A donors support allows youth to access the support they need — whenever,
wherever and however they need it.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO SUPPORT KIDS HELP PHONE?

The most effective and immediate way to support Kids Help Phone is with a
donation. Want to do even more to support young people in Canada? Join the
National Signature Event presented by BMO or become a volunteer — from becoming
