(Canton, MS) Employing 3,500, Nissan’s Canton plant is Mississippi’s third-largest industrial employer. Established in 2003, more than 4 million vehicles have been produced at this location. 4. Continental Tires Americas, LLC (Clinton, MS) Operating out of a five-million square-foot facility in Clinton, Continental Tires is among the latest major manufacturing locations to call Mississippi home, established in 2019. (Ecru, MS) Ashley Furniture’s Ecru facility is the largest upholstery producing facility in the world and the fourth-largest industrial employer in the state of Mississippi, employing 2,200. Established in 1945 in Chicago, Ashley Furniture Industries is now headquartered in Arcadia, Wisconsin. 6. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi, Inc. (Blue Springs, MS) Established in 2011, Toyota’s Blue Springs site produces the popular Toyota Corolla, producing 170,000 vehicles per year. This is one of fourteen Toyota facilities in the United States and is among its largest, employing 2,000. 7. Tyson Foods, Inc. (Carthage, MS) Tyson Foods is a multinational food products giant. The company’s Carthage location employs 1,700 and focuses on poultry processing. 8. Wayne Sanderson Farms, Inc (Summit, MS) In 1951, D.R. Sanderson and his two sons D.R. and Joe Frank started the Sanderson Brothers enterprise, later becoming Sanderson Brothers Farms.
