Dear Carolyn: My father, who has had a good, long life, has major health issues.
I’m the child managing him from afar, and it’s a daily part-time job. It’s
reaching the point (for months) where every day I wonder whether this is it, but
on a call today, the doctor said we’ve got a critical issue and he “hopes” a
different prescription will help.
