FLYING THROUGH COVID: MAKING SENSE OUT OF INSANITY

Over the past two years, everything we knew about flying internationally has
been turned upside down by COVID-19. With regulations and entry requirements
changing on a seemingly daily basis, the confusion among operators – and those
authorities forced to implement the rules – continues to wreak havoc within
flight operations. This session will review first-hand experiences of those
traveling during the madness, including the best practices and lessons learned
along the way. You’ll also receive further guidance on how to navigate the
tricky new world of international flying as the virus transitions from a
pandemic to endemics.

a real-world example of how they mitigated risk when tasked with delivering
life-saving vaccines during a global pandemic.

Time to dig into your SOPs and refine them to support the growing move to
paperless cockpits and e-plotting chart adaptation. Take a look at an e-plotting
SOP adaptation to ensure crews will maintain optimal situational awareness and
capability, despite the complexity and variations of these new app technologies.
Explore the FAA’s expected performance and capabilities, and gain an
understanding of AC 91-70C Oceanic Operations, which has been updated to include
these topics and concerns.

regarding North American operations and Atlantic crossings. Using a G600 as
reference, this session will present a detailed crossing from the U.S., through
Canada, across the Atlantic and into Europe. The session will cover North
Atlantic procedures (CPDLC), PBCS monitoring, journey logbook basics, COVID
regulations, CBP and best practices.

also get a review of the error resolution process that the FAA uses to ensure

SMS while providing information on key changes to the standard.
