FECTAR, A DUTCH-BASED METAVERSE PLATFORM, RAISED 2.45 MILLION EUROS IN ITS
LATEST FUNDING ROUND

Fectar, the Dutch-based Metaverse Creator Platform for Augmented Reality and
Virtual Reality, has raised 2.45 million euros in its latest investment round by
a consortium of experienced tech informal investors, led by Mr. Jaap van Engers.
The funding will accelerate Fectar’s international growth and improve the user
experience for its six million users worldwide, who have already downloaded the
most popular AR/VR app.


LEADING THE WAY IN VR AND AR

“We are extremely grateful for the support and belief of our investors,” said
Fectar CEO and founder Eugène Kuipers. “With the increased capabilities of VR
headsets and smartphones and the development of 5G networks, the application of
Virtual and Augmented Reality will become more widely available and accessible
to users. In addition, computer vision and machine learning advancements will
enable more accurate and responsive AR and VR experiences. As a result, we can
expect more companies and industries to adopt mobile AR and VR as marketing,
education, and training tools. We’re excited to see what the future holds for
Fectar.”


REVOLUTIONIZING THE METAVERSE FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE

Fectar’s mission is to democratize the Metaverse by providing an interactive 3D
experience in both Virtual and Augmented Reality, available on various types of
VR glasses and standard smartphones. The company’s approach has gained a
substantial following in its home market, and the new financing will enable
Fectar to expand its business and bring its services to even more clients
worldwide.

ABOUT FECTAR

Fectar was launched in early 2020 and has had over 6 million downloads
worldwide. It enables users to collaborate with all devices (both VR and AR) in
a custom interactive 3D experience. The platform has already been used to
develop an Augmented Reality experience for children in Ukraine about the risks
of unexploded Russian munitions and mines. At the beginning of this year, Fectar
was in the news because of the inclusion of the startup in the Dealroom.co list
of 100 promising startups in the Benelux. The Fectar app is free in the Android
and Apple app stores. The company is located in the Netherlands in Den Bosch and
has 10 employees.
