To support and nurture individual pupils with diverse needs to develop
confidence and resilience through a wide range of opportunities.
To serve our pupils by establishing a dynamic, inclusive learning community

its people, the broader Overstone community and by encouraging each pupil to

OUR CURRICULUM




WELCOME TO OVERSTONE PRIMARY SCHOOL



OVERSTONE PRIMARY SCHOOL 

We are a small but growing village school with 6 classes, situated just outside
of Northampton. Our school has a strong community feel and our pupils enjoy
playing a prominent role in the local area through events such as our Harvest
celebration where we collect food for a local food bank, hosting charity coffee
mornings for parents and local residents and by entertaining friends, family and
residents from the local area during our annual Rose Day celebration each June.

We are very proud of our local area and have an active School Council
and Eco-Team who are always looking for ways to enhance and nurture our
environment. Previously, they have planted trees and flowers, helped to improve
our play facilities and they can also be found undertaking litter-picking both
on site and out in our local area.

We believe that all children should enjoy learning and that they should achieve
the best that they possibly can from their own starting points. We expect and
encourage high standards of work and behaviour and we work hard to develop
positive relationships in school to ensure pupils are prepared well for their
future lives in modern Britain.

Enrichment activities are key to a broad and positive school experience for
children and here at Overstone we provide a wide range of opportunities for
children to enjoy both in and out of the classroom. We take part in regular
sporting events, dance competitions, charity events and musical activities to
name a few. High levels of self-esteem and confidence are aspired to for all our
pupils.

We are an expanding school and are now able to welcome 30 pupils into our
Reception class. This is exciting for us because whilst we remain relatively
small, our strong community ethos has continued but our increase in size means
that we have the capacity to offer an even greater range of exciting
opportunities to our pupils.

Feedback from Ofsted & Parents

The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school
since the last inspection. 100% of parents who completed the Parentview survey
stated that they would unreservedly recommend the school to others.

Pupils and parents rightly value the "talk for writing" strategy because it has
led to pupils' increased confidence and proficiency in writing, especially for

It is clear that pupils use improvement points from each assessed piece of work
to move on and make progress. All pupils spoken with value the method used to
let them know how to improve. The feedback pupils receive contributes to the
good rate of progress they make.

Provision for pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities is
