EXCLUSIVE: PAMELA JEAN NOBLE OPENS UP ABOUT PARANORMAL ACTIVITY ON THE SETS OF
RESURRECTION MARY

In an exclusive conversation with USA Newshour, Pamela spoke about her modeling
and acting career, Noble Critters, other passions, and much more.

Pamela Jean Noble is a fashion and social media icon. She is the perfect
definition of beauty with brains. With an academic background in Kinesiology,
she captured the world of fashion and films in no time. She is a model and
actress, who has dedicated a lot of her time to animal welfare through her
non-profit Noble Critters.

In an exclusive conversation with USA Newshour, Pamela spoke about her modeling
and acting career, Noble Critters, some other things she’s passionate about, and
much more.

When did you know that you wanted to get into modeling?

Pamela: I never really knew I wanted to be in modeling or thought I was pretty
enough, tall enough, etc. I worked on a music video and a makeup artist that
worked on me later approached me saying I should try it because people were
always asking about me from a picture she took on set in her portfolio. She set
up my entire first shoot and my very next shoot was for SurfIllustrated Magazine
featured the same month as cover girl Holly Madison! It felt like a pinch-me
moment.

You have a background in science (kinesiology). What led you to be a model and
an actor?

Pamela: I told my parents when I was super young that I wanted to do acting. My
dad took me to all the auditions and classes (kudos to him for being so
dedicated as well). I would constantly be pulled out of school for stuff so when
I was threatened of being held back that’s when I had to take a step back and
really start to balance school and what acting jobs I could take.

You’ve tried your hand at singing as well. Was it just an effort to explore
yourself or a pursuit towards something you’re passionate about?

Pamela: I’ve always loved singing but there came a time when my parents said I
had to choose between acting and singing because obviously, classes and going to
auditions can get costly. So I chose acting. I would love to pursue country
music again someday but until then I sing in the shower and for my husband
(laughs). At least I can always look back and remember that I sang at the House
of Blues in Hollywood- such an incredible/scary experience!

You’ve been a huge advocate of animal welfare. How did this journey begin and
what should we know about your non-profit Noble Critters?

Pamela: I have always loved animals and had so many pets growing up. However, it
wasn’t until later in life that I started doing research, watching
documentaries, visiting animal sanctuaries, and hearing the truth about our
meat, dairy, and fish industries. I couldn’t find out this information and just
ignore it and say “well it tastes good” knowing how cruel it is not to mention
how bad it is for our environment. My end goal one day is to own my own animal
sanctuary but until I can make that dream a reality I started Noble Critters as
a way to give back. Through in-kind donations and apparel sales, Noble Critters
donates 100% of profits to our animal sanctuary partners.

In your opinion, how important is social media to build your brand as a model
and influencer? What role did it play for you?

Pamela: I think it’s everything nowadays. I’ve even seen certain projects
casting based on how many followers you have. It’s a love/hate relationship I’d
say. I like seeing what my friends are doing but I don’t like that I have to
focus on it like a job. It’s definitely important but I feel like since my son
came along you really figure out what your priorities are.

Your first movie, Resurrection Mary, was a horror movie. How did you feel doing
it?

Pamela: As mostly the actresses don’t do horror as their debut, what was your
thinking process while accepting the script? I would say Resurrection Mary is
more of a thriller than a horror movie. It was such a great experience doing
that because it really put into perspective the hard work required: super long
hours, very early mornings, sometimes night shoots until daybreak, and not to
mention some freezing nights where we would literally have to stop filming
because you could see my breath it was so cold (and that won’t work when you
play a ghost). Some weird things happened on set as well to the point where some
people thought Mary didn’t want us making this film since it was based on an
urban legend.

You’ve done a number of roles on television. What was that entire experience
like?

Pamela: All of them are completely different. I think the one I’m asked most
about because people love the show so much is Below Deck- which was amazing
because I met my husband from it. But on that show what you see is what you get.
The mic you and film you from the moment you get up until you go to bed. So if
you are being rude they will show that, if you’re having the time of your life
they will show that too! I definitely didn’t know about any “crew” drama though
on either season until watching the season myself.

You’ve created this bold sensuous image of yourself and yet you call yourself a
tomboy. How would you define this contradiction?

Pamela: Well because of social media you only see highlights of my life. Of
course, at a shoot, you have hair, makeup, wardrobe, etc. Which obviously I do
from time to time myself too, but if I’m just at home for the day I’m most
likely in yoga pants and a sports bra.

Do you think that growing up in California, so close to Hollywood, helped
benefit you with your career as an actor and model?

Pamela: It definitely helped as far as getting to auditions but I didn’t live
super close to LA, so I wasn’t in the “scene” which for this industry a lot can
come from possibly who you know. So I think in one way because I wasn’t out
there constantly it could have held me back possibly. But I have no regrets.

Lastly, what message would you like to give to people, especially young people?

Pamela: This world is so crazy right now with so many different things going on.
So always be true to yourself. Never compromise your morals to get further in
your career. Be kind- you can change someone’s entire day with just simple
gestures. Always remember you never know someone’s whole story so never judge a
book by its cover. Lastly, we only have 1 Earth, so take care of it.
