1975 - THE BEGINNING

Alabama Outdoors opened doors in Birmingham Alabama in 1975 with the mission to
provide the highest quality outdoor gear to the city and her residents. As a
pioneer in the Outdoor Specialty Retail market, Alabama Outdoors was one of the
first stores of its kind at the time.


2010 - NEW OWNERSHIP

Scott McCrory and a group of investors acquired Alabama Outdoors and set out
revamping the company internally, working to build upon past successes while
implementing core values that center on providing exceptional customer service.


2012 - NEW LOCATIONS

Alabama Outdoors saw substantial growth in 2012 with the grand opening of our
Florence location in the historic Rogers Building, our Montgomery store and our
Inverness store.


2014 - NEW LOOK

Our flagship store in Homewood underwent a major remodel in fall 2014. From the
beautiful marble countertops, to the painted ceiling logo and the expanded back
porch, our new store showcases exactly what the Alabama Outdoors brand is all
about!


2017 - MORE CHANGES

Our Mobile Location underwent a major remodel in the summer of 2017. Also, our
Trussville Location moved into a space at the new Homestead Village Shopping
Center.


2019 - ALABAMA OUTDOORS TODAY

Alabama Outdoors has grown to six locations throughout the state of Alabama. We
continue to stock a wide selection of quality clothing, footwear and gear to
take you anywhere from a day spent out on the trail, to a night around town.
