Matthias Goergens October 15, 2018, 06:10 | # | Reply I see, you are trying to muscle in on the lucrative turf of getting your comics linked to from various technical forums. I hope the xkcd crew don’t kneecap you. * Dave October 17, 2018, 22:24 | # | Reply To be fair, Randall did it first xkcd.com/979/ * Kristian October 18, 2018, 21:04 | # | Reply Damn Randall! But, he missed the most infuriating “oh, nvm. fixed it.â€-part. * Jeremy T. Gibson October 19, 2018, 00:04 | # | Reply xkcd did it! xkcd did it! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDuMp2kDxos) 2. Mental Mouse October 17, 2018, 13:28 | # | Reply There’s something worse than seeing “fixed it, bye!”. It’s when the only result for your search is another person asking the same question… and then you realize the “other person” is you 3 years ago. * Nickhex February 11, 2020, 21:19 | # | Reply No the worst thing is “Hello (insert product) User, we understand you are having trouble with our product, can you please try the following 13 banal and useless housekeeping items that not remotely related to the OP’s question…” Shhhh (gentle finger to their lips), nothing good ever comes after “Hello User”. 3. Vazken October 17, 2018, 21:25 | # | Reply Hahaha this comic SPOKE TO ME 4. John December 19, 2018, 00:15 | # | Reply It is drawing a long bow to compare the thread of this gag to the xkcd comic. In mr munroe’s work the message is a feeling of simpatico with an anonymous stranger. In Kristian’s comic, the theme of inquisition, accusation, and execution is not only opposition in feeling, but an entirely different concept. Feel free to try and refute my argument, a click is a click after all, But before you be trollin, remember that the comments thread is archived, there are people who do symbolic logic analysis for fun instead of playing angry birds or whatever it is you waste your lives on. You can track this little tantrum, and see the content gaps of its source when it began, and when you calmed down and started producing content again. Never go full Lars Ulrich dude, Just saying… 5. cr0sh December 21, 2018, 22:01 | # | Reply Even though xkcd hit upon long ago, it is something that definitely needs to brought up again and again. I make it a point when I come across these threads to post my solution (if I find or come up with one) either to the thread (if it’s still open) or start a new thread (after registering) linking to the old one, just so there is an answer for others in the future. I sincerely don’t understand the selfishness of those who don’t; cutting off their heads may be rather harsh, but a stint in the stocks might not be… COMMENT ¬ CANCEL REPLY Your email address will not be published.
