GREEN FOR GOOD

The 1st edition of the international poster competition “Posters For Future” has
ended. Thank you to all the participants! The winners will be notified after the
summer.

INTRODUCING THE POSTER COMPETITION

Creatives For Future invites you to take part in our poster competition about
human-caused climate change. Let's raise awareness and cool down our carbon
footprint (as well as our handprint).

Your creativity can change the game: With your artistic ideas, you'll inspire
others to take action against climate change!

The motto “Green For Good” only specifies the colours. Explore new ideas! It's
up to you: Come up with your own slogans, let the illustration take centre
stage, allow a photo to say more than 1,000 words. The only limits to your
creativity are those set by the printing process of risography (learn more about
that below).

DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

Every year, participants are assigned two colours. One colour will represent the
motto of the year, joining the hues of paper and black. In 2024, that colour is
green. You can use this year’s motto “Green For Good” as a slogan if you like,
but since we're looking forward to receive a diverse variety of posters, you are
free in your design and wording – as long as you follow the colour requirements
and make sure your poster is about climate change.

Some topics to inspire you:

• Protecting the climate
• Deforestation
• Plant extinction
• Green energy
• Climate and social justice
• Urban greening

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

• Format: PDF
• File size: up to 3 MB (low-resolution)
• Dimensions: DIN A3 (portrait)
• Colours: black and green (spot colours)
• Bleed margin: 5 mm
• Font size: at least 6 pt

For typography and important details, maintain a protective zone of 6 mm all
around the final dimensions. Large solid colour areas often cause problems.
Therefore, please use 80% opacity for such areas.

READY, STEADY, RISO PRINT!

When the posters eventually get printed, we'll use the risography technique.
Risography is an environmentally friendly printing process. The ink is made of
rice bran oil, and the master foils are made from hemp fibers. Riso printing
only requires a fraction of the energy used by a digital printing press. Similar
to screen printing, colour applications and offsets have special characteristics
and halftone pattern modulation and colour overlays create new tones. A riso
print is never perfect, but that's what makes it so exciting!

CREATIVES FOR FUTURE E. V. (I. G.)

We are a grassroots design and marketing movement offering creatives an easy way
to advocate for climate justice. We motivate people and companies to put
sustainability at the heart of their decisions. Our voluntary work is divided
into two areas: We're driving the transformation of our industry. We support
other environmental movements run by volunteers.

Posters For Future was initiated by:

MICHELLE

is a freelance graphic designer with a focus on brand identities and typography.
In her work she concentrates on sustainable topics and projects where everyone
involved has a clear conscience. In the past, her clients have increasingly been
in the field of mobility and with the initiative "Stand der Dinge", she is
committed to drawing attention to people's material and immaterial heritage.

LUISE
WÜSTLING

political or sustainable projects by developing visual concepts in order to
communicate their message to the world.

larger agencies he developed 360° campaigns and corporate designs. The political

for political education to a face.
