HANDCRAFTED MANDALA

MY STORY 

I was born in Bihar, India’s third most populated state, and I am the third of
five sisters. After facing poverty and abuse as a child, I was taken into a
children’s home. They gave me love and care and shared the gospel of Christ
Jesus with me throughout my childhood, through God’s blessings. Now I am working
for a non-profit organization and also doing my business.

 My art represents me, my culture, and my faith. Before I knew Christ as my
savior, my life was dark. I was lonely and afraid. Now God has filled my life
with color. He has placed friends, family, loved ones, and blessings all around
me to brighten the life He has blessed me with. The colors in my paintings
reflect the joy God has placed in my heart, and I create them out of gratitude
for all He has done. My art is a form of praise to God for bringing me out of
the darkness and into a colorful life.

Growing up in India, I saw the beauty of color richly celebrated in my culture.
When I moved to the US, I used my art as a way to stay connected to my Indian
roots while incorporating elements of the new culture I was in. While I have no
formal training in art, I have been developing my skills as an artist in a way
that reflects my own unique style. I do pouring paintings, Dot mandala, and
Resin art.
