MONSOON

Monsoon (UK: /mɒnˈsuːn/; US: /mɑːnˈsuːn/) is traditionally defined as a seasonal
reversing wind accompanied by corresponding changes in precipitation, but is now
used to describe seasonal changes in atmospheric circulation and precipitation
associated with the asymmetric heating of land and sea. Usually, the term
monsoon is used to refer to the rainy phase of a seasonally changing pattern,
although technically there is also a dry phase.

The major monsoon systems of the world consist of the West African and
Asia-Australian monsoons. The inclusion of the North and South American monsoons
with incomplete wind reversal has been debated.

The term was first used in English in British India (now India, Bangladesh and
Pakistan) and neighbouring countries to refer to the big seasonal winds blowing
from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea in the southwest bringing heavy rainfall
to the area. The south-west monsoon winds are called 'Nairutya Maarut' in India.
Extremely wet or dry events within the monsoon period have increased since 1980.

 * WHAT IS A MONSOON?

What is a monsoon? The word monsoon comes from the Arabic word 'mausim' which
translates as 'season', which is suggestive of the seasonal nature of the
monsoon and its associated rains. A monsoon climate is characterized by a
dramatic seasonal change in direction of the prevailing winds of a region
which brings a marked change in rainfall. The monsoon climate results in high
annual rainfall totals exceeding 1.5 m (5 ft) in many places. You may also

 * MONSOONS: NATURE’S AIR PURIFIERS

Monsoons are more than torrential rains. They come in wet and dry varieties,
but both involve a lot of wind. And it turns out, those winds can help the

   #ngscience #weatherpatterns #monsoon #climate https://ngscience.com Some
parts of our world don't have four seasons like summer, fall, winter, and
spring. They have two main seasons: a dry season and a wet season. We also
call the wet season the monsoon season. During the monsoon season, wind blows
from one direction and brings a lot of rain with it. Think of the biggest
rainstorm you've ever seen - it's like that nearly every day! The rains are
really important. The water helps all the living things grow. Plants love the
rain, they drink up the water and grow faster, providing food for animals.
Even some animals wait for this season to have their babies. The rains also

What is a monsoon? The word monsoon comes from the Arabic word 'mausim' which
translates as 'season', which is suggestive of the seasonal nature of the
monsoon and its associated rains. A monsoon climate is characterized by a
dramatic seasonal change in direction of the prevailing winds of a region which
brings a marked change in rainfall. The monsoon climate results in high annual
rainfall totals exceeding 1.5 m (5 ft) in many places. You may also enjoy: –

The Asian Monsoon - the world’s largest weather system. Affecting almost half of
the world’s population, from the blistering heat of India, to the frigid north
of Siberia. In this video we look at the dynamics that great the great change in
winds every season, and show real places in Asia which are affected by this.

winters and wet summers define the Asian Monsoon, from India, Nepal and
Bangladesh, through Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to Korea, Japan,
Mongolia and Siberian Russia in the north. This is the only part of the world
where such wet and dry seasons exist outside the tropics. The dynamics that
drive the Indian Monsoon and the East Asian Monsoon is the seasonal movement of
the ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone) back and forth. In India, the
summertime produces the Southwest Monsoon blows in from the Indian Ocean
bringing heavy rain, while in winter, the Northeast Monsoon prevails, bringing
dry cool winds from the Himalayas. The Indian Monsoon produces the wettest
places on earth with Mawsynram and Cherrapunji in Meghalaya State, India, both
experiencing more than 12 meters of rain per year. The East Asian Monsoon
produces the snowiest places on earth, along the NW coast of Japan when Siberian
winds blow across the Sea of Japan in winter, collecting frigid moisture that is
then dumped on cities like Sapporo in Hokkaido. The Asian Monsoon has a dramatic
effect on the climate of India, the climate of Japan, the climate of Korea and
the climate of China. The Climate of Northern Australia is also affected, being
opposite to the continent of Asia in regard to the Asian Monsoon. This in-depth

#ngscience #weatherpatterns #monsoon #climate https://ngscience.com Some parts
of our world don't have four seasons like summer, fall, winter, and spring. They
have two main seasons: a dry season and a wet season. We also call the wet
season the monsoon season. During the monsoon season, wind blows from one
direction and brings a lot of rain with it. Think of the biggest rainstorm
you've ever seen - it's like that nearly every day! The rains are really
important. The water helps all the living things grow. Plants love the rain,
they drink up the water and grow faster, providing food for animals. Even some
animals wait for this season to have their babies. The rains also make the
weather cooler and the air cleaner, washing away dust and dirt. So, the monsoon
season, even though it's really wet, is a very special and important time of the
year! Welcome to an exciting exploration into one of the most fascinating
weather phenomena that our planet witnesses - the monsoon season! This
captivating educational video targets young learners and takes them on an
insightful journey into regions where the rhythm of life is dictated not by the
conventional four seasons, but primarily by two seasons: a dry season and a
monsoon, or wet, season. In certain regions of our world, the traditional
understanding of seasons shifts from the four-season paradigm to a more dramatic
dual season cycle. During the monsoon season, relentless winds carry substantial
rainfall, akin to the fiercest rainstorms you might have encountered, but on an
almost daily basis! Our video delves into the intriguing dynamics of the monsoon
season, painting a vivid picture of how this extreme weather event influences
life and ecosystems in these regions. It underscores the significance of rain in
sustaining life, from plants absorbing water and accelerating growth, providing
food for animals, to certain animals strategically timing the birth of their
young with the monsoon season. Besides the life-sustaining role, monsoons also
provide natural air-conditioning and cleaning services. The rains bring respite
from the heat, lower temperatures, and cleanse the air by washing away dust and

of our world don't have four seasons like summer, fall, winter, and spring. They
have two main seasons: a dry season and a wet season.
So, the monsoon
season, even though it's really wet, is a very special and important time of the

understanding of seasons shifts from the four-season paradigm to a more dramatic

rainfall, akin to the fiercest rainstorms you might have encountered, but on an
almost daily basis! Our video delves into the intriguing dynamics of the monsoon
season, painting a vivid picture of how this extreme weather event influences
life and ecosystems in these regions. It underscores the significance of rain in

The Asian Monsoon - the world’s largest weather system. Affecting almost half
of the world’s population, from the blistering heat of India, to the frigid
north of Siberia. In this video we look at the dynamics that great the great
change in winds every season, and show real places in Asia which are affected

Monsoon, from India, Nepal and Bangladesh, through Vietnam, China, Hong Kong
and Taiwan to Korea, Japan, Mongolia and Siberian Russia in the north. This
is the only part of the world where such wet and dry seasons exist outside
the tropics. The dynamics that drive the Indian Monsoon and the East Asian
Monsoon is the seasonal movement of the ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone)
back and forth. In India, the summertime produces the Southwest Monsoon blows
in from the Indian Ocean bringing heavy rain, while in winter, the Northeast
Monsoon prevails, bringing dry cool winds from the Himalayas. The Indian
Monsoon produces the wettest places on earth with Mawsynram and Cherrapunji
in Meghalaya State, India, both experiencing more than 12 meters of rain per
year. The East Asian Monsoon produces the snowiest places on earth, along the
NW coast of Japan when Siberian winds blow across the Sea of Japan in winter,
collecting frigid moisture that is then dumped on cities like Sapporo in
Hokkaido. The Asian Monsoon has a dramatic effect on the climate of India,
the climate of Japan, the climate of Korea and the climate of China. The
Climate of Northern Australia is also affected, being opposite to the
continent of Asia in regard to the Asian Monsoon. This in-depth study of the

What is a monsoon? The word monsoon comes from the Arabic word 'mausim' which
translates as 'season', which is suggestive of the seasonal nature of the
monsoon and its associated rains. A monsoon climate is characterized
by a dramatic seasonal change in direction of the prevailing winds of a
region which brings a marked change in rainfall. The monsoon climate
results in high annual rainfall totals exceeding 1.5 m (5 ft) in many
places. You may also enjoy: – Podcasts exploring weather and climate

The Asian Monsoon - the world’s largest weather system. Affecting almost
half of the world’s population, from the blistering heat of India, to the
frigid north of Siberia. In this video we look at the dynamics that great the

winters and wet summers define the Asian Monsoon, from India, Nepal and
Bangladesh, through Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to Korea, Japan,
Mongolia and Siberian Russia in the north. This is the only part of the
world where such wet and dry seasons exist outside the tropics. The
dynamics that drive the Indian Monsoon and the East Asian Monsoon is the
seasonal movement of the ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone) back and
forth. In India, the summertime produces the Southwest Monsoon blows in
from the Indian Ocean bringing heavy rain, while in winter, the Northeast
Monsoon prevails, bringing dry cool winds from the Himalayas. The Indian
Monsoon produces the wettest places on earth with Mawsynram and
Cherrapunji in Meghalaya State, India, both experiencing more than 12
meters of rain per year. The East Asian Monsoon produces the snowiest places
on earth, along the NW coast of Japan when Siberian winds blow across the Sea
of Japan in winter, collecting frigid moisture that is then dumped on cities
like Sapporo in Hokkaido. The Asian Monsoon has a dramatic effect on the
climate of India, the climate of Japan, the climate of Korea and the climate
of China. The Climate of Northern Australia is also affected, being
opposite to the continent of Asia in regard to the Asian Monsoon. This

varieties, but both involve a lot of wind. And it turns out, those winds can
help the Earth clean up some of the pollution mess humanity makes. Hosted

#ngscience #weatherpatterns #monsoon #climate https:// ngscience. com Some
parts of our world don't have four seasons like summer, fall, winter, and
spring. They have two main seasons: a dry season and a wet season. We also
call the wet season the monsoon season. During the monsoon season, wind
blows from one direction and brings a lot of rain with it. Think of the
biggest rainstorm you've ever seen - it's like that nearly every day! The
rains are really important. The water helps all the living things grow.
Plants love the rain, they drink up the water and grow faster, providing food
for animals. Even some animals wait for this season to have their babies.
The rains also make the weather cooler and the air cleaner, washing away
dust and dirt. So, the monsoon season, even though it's really wet, is a
very special and important time of the year! Welcome to an exciting
exploration into one of the most fascinating weather phenomena that our
planet witnesses - the monsoon season! This captivating educational
video targets young learners and takes them on an insightful journey into
regions where the rhythm of life is dictated not by the conventional four
seasons, but primarily by two seasons: a dry season and a monsoon, or
wet, season. In certain regions of our world, the traditional
understanding of seasons shifts from the four-season paradigm to a more
dramatic dual season cycle. During the monsoon season, relentless winds
carry substantial rainfall, akin to the fiercest rainstorms you might have
encountered, but on an almost daily basis! Our video delves into the
intriguing dynamics of the monsoon season, painting a vivid picture of
how this extreme weather event influences life and ecosystems in these
regions. It underscores the significance of rain in sustaining life,
from plants absorbing water and accelerating growth, providing food for
animals, to certain animals strategically timing the birth of their
young with the monsoon season. Besides the life-sustaining role, monsoons
also provide natural air-conditioning and cleaning services. The rains
bring respite from the heat, lower temperatures, and cleanse the air by
washing away dust and dirt. Despite the challenges posed by heavy rainfall,
the monsoon season is undeniably a crucial and magical period. For
teachers, this video serves as a vibrant resource to complement classroom
instruction on weather patterns and their effects on life and ecosystems.
The exploration of the monsoon's influence on life-cycle events in plants
and animals helps to reinforce the concepts of adaptation and
ecological interdependence. Students will find this video an
intriguing window into understanding the complex relationships
between weather patterns and ecosystems. By connecting theoretical
concepts with real-world scenarios, the video makes learning
interactive, engaging, and relevant. It instills an appreciation for
the Earth's diverse ecosystems and the different survival strategies
employed by species. Embark on this enlightening journey with us to
unravel the magic of monsoons and comprehend their significance in the
web of life. With each step, we inch closer to becoming more responsible
and informed custodians of our beautiful planet. Let's delve into the
heart of monsoons together and enjoy this educational adventure. Happy
learning!

MONSOONS

by: Puscifer

Valley heat is rising
Believe us
Long as hell to heaven
Believe us
Valley heat is rising
Relieve us
Long as hell to heaven
Relieve us
Dry desert touches sky
Prayer for deliverance from up high
And pray the sky will understand
And cry and pour the emotion down
Only you can bring the color in
You alone bring hope into our world
The patient, pleading ground
Without you, brittle, gray and brown
Only you can bring the color in
So wine and vine can carry on
Only you can bring the color in
So wine and vine can carry on
Pray the sky will understand
And cry emotion pouring down
Only you can bring the color in
So wine and vine can carry on 'til
You can bring the color in
So wine and vine can carry on 'til
You can bring the color in
