Men words - 12 pages An Assessment of the Film Of Mice and Men In section one of
the novel 'Of Mice and Men' written by John Steinbeck, begins with a description
of the pool and its surroundings in order to familiarize us with the setting,
using poetic imagery to describe the "golden foothill slopes" of the Salinas
river valley and the pool on the bank of which "the leaves lie deep and so crisp
that a lizard makes a great skittering if.

Steinbeck's intention in the book Of Mice and Men was to show that American

are shown only a quick conversation between Crooks and Lennie which is
interrupted by George who scolds Lennie for going into Crooks room. In the book,
Crooks, Candy and Lennie all have a grand conversation about the farm and the
dream of having their own land. Finally, at the end of the novel Slim, Curley
and Carlson find Lennie dead and George with the gun in his hand. In the book,
the reader is given multiple instances clearly showing that Lennie is not
totally there so to speak.

WRITE AN INTRODUCTION THAT INTERESTS THE READER AND EFFECTIVELY OUTLINES YOUR
ARGUMENTS.

It's helpful to think of the different essay sections as answering a series of
questions your reader might ask when encountering your thesis. Readers should
have questions. If they don't, your thesis is most likely simply an observation
of fact, not an arguable claim. To answer the question you must examine your

"demonstration" section comes early in the essay, often directly after the
introduction.
