"Our LGBTQIA+ community has fought for the right to live and love in a way that
honors who we are. I am proud to be a visible queer Mexican-American woman, and

people of color have fought for throughout history. This month, we honor our
community and their achievements as we continue to push for greater equality and
uplift the most marginalized voices.” —Jacqueline White Menchaca MPP 2023
