WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

Getting Things Done Pittsburgh (GTD PGH) Productivity Group is a community of
local personal productivity enthusiasts who enjoy discussing and sharing
ideas/resources centering on David Allen's work, started with his well-regarded
book on personal productivity, Getting Things Done®, in and around the
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania metropolitan area. It's that simple!

We do this by...

1) discussing components of the Getting Things Done methodology at the group
meetups;
2) discussing, publishing and publicizing new GTD concepts/products of David
Allen & Co. (as well as others) that improve upon members' GTD
implementations;
3) inviting members (those new and old to GTD) to the group to share their
background with GTD, challenges they are currently facing, and information and
resource collaboration; and,
4) providing an online platform to connect outside of our monthly meetups about
your ideas, challenges, SUCCESSES, and more with GTD.

Once a quarter (and sometimes more often) we host seminars and workshops by GTD
experts to teach Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level material to members
interested in growing in their GTD practice.

Who should join?

If you have ever thought, "I could be more productive." Or, "I need to stop
procrastinating on major goals in my life." Or, "Where did all this clutter come
from?" you're a good candidate for this Meetup. If you have read David Allen's
materials, or even tried to implement GTD into your life, work or personal, join
us. If you are a GTD black belt ninja and would like to share your GTD skills
and knowledge with others. Well, this is the Meetup for you too!

When do we meet?

Our meetups are posted on the meetup site as scheduled, so check the main page
often to see when they're announced!

If you have any questions, please message Ray Sidney-Smith, the Founder/Meetup
Organizer.

Company. This group is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by the David
Allen Company.

Are you doing your Weekly Review this week? I hope the answer is yes!

Get ready for your Weekly Review and join us at the Weekly Review
Accountability Party! We start at 10:30 AM Eastern every Friday. (Check the
GTD Café channel in Personal Productivity Club for other WRAP events that
might be happening throughout the week via
https://www.personalproductivity.club/share/NGSGigeO1j7bUeMZ?utm_source=manual.)

What is the Weekly Review Accountability Party?
We are GTDers looking for greater accountability to setting aside time to
perform our Weekly Reviews. This is a weekly event where you can join other
GTDers who are doing their Weekly Reviews.

Also, check out this episode of ProductivityCast, Episode 045, "Weekly
Review: Getting Things Done (GTD)," via https://productivitycast.net/045 or
your favorite podcast app!

* * * As of March 18, 2022, we have implemented additional 🛡️ security to
keep the spammers/bots out of the WRAP. * * *

Please note the following:
1️⃣) Any old WRAP links are now ⛔ void. The new WRAP Zoom link is only
accessible from within GTD Weekly Review Accountability Party events (see
this 🎥 video: https://vimeo.com/689262090/007ba50043).

2️⃣) You must join Personal Productivity Club's GTD Café
(https://www.personalproductivity.club/share/NGSGigeO1j7bUeMZ?utm_source=manual)
and have a Zoom.us account (so make sure to sign up for a free Zoom.us
account--https://zoom.us/signup--only if you don't already have one).

3️⃣) You must be logged into that Zoom.us account when you click on that
"Zoom" or "Meeting Link" link. So, before going to the GTD Weekly Review
Accountability Party event page, go to https://zoom.us and log in, then click
on the "Meeting Link" to join the WRAP.

Apologies for all this, but we want to make sure WRAP's are a time when you
can have relaxed focus to get your Weekly Reviews done. Please message the
Organizer if you have any questions.

WRAP Rules

1. Show up at the time of the Weekly Review Accountability Party (WRAP). We
use Zoom, a video meeting software, to host this WRAP; you need to use
the link provided inside Personal Productivity Club (see above), then
download and install Zoom to connect with the group...it's free for you
to do so.
2. Start your video, say hello to the group, mix and mingle before we all
get started.

I suggest, if you haven't done so before, complete the GTD-Q to know where
you are at: https://gettingthingsdone.com/gtd-q/. (I do this before every
Weekly Review to help me track how well my system is keeping me in the C&C
quadrant. You may not wish to do this weekly; that's OK.)

I will walk any newbies through a quick introduction of the Weekly Review if
needed (please message me to let me know if this is your first time), we'll
introduce ourselves briefly, and then I'll mute everyone's microphones.

Start your Weekly Review. Stay on video for accountability, as you are able.

We allot two hours for the event, but some will do their Weekly Review in
more time, some in less time. If we get to two hours and you're still working
on your Weekly Review, that's fine. The host will end the Zoom, but you
should keep going to complete yours, or find a time later in the the day or
over the weekend to finish!

0. Joining the Virtual Meeting Room & Mix-and-Mingle (5:45 PM - 6:00 PM)

Please note that you will join this Meetup via Zoom.us, a free, Web-based
meeting and phone conferencing software. You need to have a microphone and
speakers working on your computer or laptop to connect by
computer/laptop/mobile device with high-speed Internet access. For the best
experience, instead of speakers, we suggest using headphones (the kind you
plug into the 35mm audio jack in your computer or laptop) if you have a pair.

You can join the Zoom meeting by PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android.
There is a backup phone option for audio, if you cannot connect by audio
through your computer or laptop over your Internet connection.
To join the Zoom Meeting, visit the link in this event and type your name
when it asks. If you cannot join by computer audio, there is an option when
you launch the meeting to dial-in by phone.

I suggest you visit https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting to download the
"Zoom Client for Meetings" on your PC, Mac or Linux computer/laptop, or
https://zoom.us/download#mobile_app for the iOS and Android OS device mobile
app links, prior to the meeting. If you would like to familiarize yourself
with Zoom or need further help joining the meeting, please visit
https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting.)

I. Introductions + Challenges Forum (~6:05 PM)

A. Introductions - Each member will introduce yourself briefly, tell us what
you do professionally (or otherwise), your GTD experience, and a recent
success with your productivity implementation and/or life.

B. Challenges Forum - We'll give a few minutes to have the group help each
member with solutions to challenges we may be facing currently with life or
work circumstances with our productivity system. These are specific
productivity challenges and only one challenge per member for time's sake.

* * * Please complete the Challenges Forum form here:

II. Rewarding Yourself for Getting Things Done
In this session, we'll be discussing rewarding yourself for your Getting
Things Done (GTD) - inspired productivity system. Discover the power of
personal rewards to reinforce positive habits and keep your productivity
flowing.

During our discussion, we'll cover:

* The importance of rewarding yourself: Understand how celebrating wins,
both big and small, can help maintain momentum in your GTD practice.
* Types of rewards: Explore different ways to reward yourself—whether it's
through experiences, material rewards, or personal recognition.
* Creating a reward system: Learn how to develop a structured approach to
rewarding yourself that aligns with your goals and values.
* Balancing work and rewards: Discuss strategies for integrating rewards
without feeling guilty or losing focus on your tasks.
* Examples of GTD-friendly rewards: Share and discover reward ideas that
complement your GTD practice and personal productivity style.
* Overcoming challenges with rewards: Address common pitfalls when using
rewards as motivation, such as overindulgence or lack of consistency.

So, join us, bring your copy of Getting Things Done [https://amzn.to/3c8jKNA]
by David Allen, to reference, and we’ll discussing how to manage lists in
your GTD practice!

III. GTD Resource Sharing (7:30 PM)

This is where everyone can offer a book title, recent blog or magazine
article, tip/trick/hack, tool, service or item that has helped them in their

account--https://zoom.us/signup--only if you don't already have one).
