CENTRE DES ANALYSES, DES ESSAIS ET DE LA MÉTROLOGIE INDUSTRIELLE

Placé sous l'autorité d'un Chef de Centre, le Centre des Analyses, des Essais et
de la Métrologie Industrielle réalise les analyses et les essais de toute
nature, permettant la promotion des mines, de l'industrie et du développement
technologique. Il assure par ailleurs les prestations relatives à la métrologie
industrielle.

A ce titre, il est chargé:

 * du développement des méthodes d'analyses et des essais des produits;
 * de l'expertise des produits et des matériels, à la demande des tribunaux, des
   services publics ou des particuliers;
 * du suivi de la métrologie industrielle, en liaison avec les administrations
   et les organismes concernés;
 * de la fonte et l'affinage des métaux précieux, de même que de
   l'identification et de la tenue des poinçons;
 * de la constitution des données statistiques du Centre,
 * de la participation aux activités des organismes internationaux et
   comitésspécialisés d'essais, de caractérisation et de métrologie
   industrielle, scientifique et technique.

Il comprend:

 * la Section des Analyses des Substances Fluides,
 * la Section des Essais des Produits Solides.
