allows tribal members to report on their hunting effort and success which supplies important biological information and hunter statistics for proper game management. With this information additional funding opportunities can also be
developed. This system also allows the Tribes to accurately monitor sales and track deer tag income. We hope you like the new changes and appreciate the new purchasing opportunity.</p>

TAGGING SYSTEM

This game tag sales system was developed for the benefit of tribal members. Most
noticeably, game tags can now be purchased from home 24 hours a day, every day
of the year eliminating the need to visit the administration office. This system
allows the Klamath Tribes to ensure sales are conducted in accordance with
Klamath Indian Game Commission regulations and also allows for product delivery
in a more precise and timely manner. This system allows tribal members to report
on their hunting effort and success which supplies important biological
information and hunter statistics for proper game management. With this
information additional funding opportunities can also be developed. This system
also allows the Tribes to accurately monitor sales and track deer tag income. We
hope you like the new changes and appreciate the new purchasing opportunity.

FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS

Tribal hunting privileges are only available for enrolled members of the Klamath
Tribes. For this reason, we must ensure that you are an enrolled member before
tags can be issued. If you have never purchased electronic tags in the past, you
must first come to the Klamath Tribes Natural Resources Department where we can
ensure your enrollment status and create a user profile. Following that initial
visit, you will have the opportunity to purchase your hunting tags from this
site 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

When will the Tribes have buffalo tags for sale?
The buffalo within the 1954 Boundary are domestic animals that occasionally
trespass on public lands. Though these are trespass animals, they are considered
private property and are not animals that can be hunted by the tribal or
non-tribal public.
Can I pick mushrooms? If so, where?
Tribal members have the right to pick mushrooms anywhere within the 1954
Boundary, free of State and Federal regulation. Tribal members must obtain
permission of the landowner to pick mushrooms on private lands within the 1954
Boundary.
Can I barter fish and game I have taken while exercising my treaty rights with
members of other tribes?
The Kimball v. Callahan Consent Decree states that: "nothing herein shall
prevent the Tribe from authorizing the barter or exchange of fish and wildlife
taken pursuant to this Agreement between tribal members or with other tribes for
Indian non commercial use".
Do I need a printer to purchase a tag on-line?
Yes. The tag you print at your printer is a valid, official tag and no other tag
will be mailed to you. You may also want to print out the transaction receipt
for your records.
