“America Now”. What range of domestic complexities led to the election of
President Trump? What things should we keep in mind during the upcoming Trump
administration? What does the future hold for American democracy? This
Masterclass will focus our attention on these three simple questions.
About Dr David Polya
Prof Polya’s role as The University of Manchester (THE (Global) Impact Ranking
#2; QS (Global) Ranking #34, 2024) FSE (Faculty of Science and Engineering)
Associate Dean for Internationalisation involves the promotion of trusted
research, teaching and social responsibility/knowledge transfer/business
engagement opportunities between FSE and key higher education, business,
government and non-government organizations across the globe for mutual benefit
& positive social impact.
About Professor Angelia Wilson:
Professor Wilson spearheads global partnerships for research and teaching,
fostering equitable and meaningful collaborations between institutions. Her
academic expertise spans the intersection of religion and politics, with a body
of work that includes three authored books, such as The Politics of Hate,
alongside numerous edited volumes and journal articles. She is also an
experienced political commentator, having appeared on platforms like BBC’s The
World at One, BBC Breakfast, France24, and others.
