Staff members or users with a medical exemption will not be expected to wear a covering. Library Services supports the Sunflower lanyard and Please give me space schemes. STUDY SPACES Most of our individual study spaces are freely available to turn-up and use. A study space bookings system is operational at the following sites: * 1-19 Torrington Place, Floors 7-9; * Institute of Orthopaedics Library (social distancing rules apply); * IOE Library, Level 5 (22 bookable study spaces); * Main Library, First Floor Donaldson Reading Room (92 bookable study spaces); * Royal Free Hospital Medical Library (social distancing rules apply); * Science Library, Floor 1 Psychology (89 bookable study spaces); * Student Centre, Level B1 and quiet study areas on Levels 2 and 3. NHS members should visit our separate NHS seat booking page. You must check-in within 30 minutes of the start time of your booking. If you do not check-in your booking will be released for other students or staff to use. CLICK AND COLLECT SERVICE Books can be requested via our Click and Collect service. They are listed in our online catalogue, UCL Explore, and can be requested for collection in advance of a visit. Please see our membership information pages for details of eligibility for our services. SCAN AND SEND SERVICE If you cannot come on site to collect books, please use our Scan and Send service, which complements the Click and Collect service. This allows UCL students and staff to request copies of journal articles and book chapters to be scanned and emailed to them directly. BORROWING AND RETURNING BOOKS BORROWING If you are unable to access the UCL campus to collect books that have been requested, for example if you are self-isolating, you can arrange for another UCL Library member to collect them on your behalf. Please email lib-accessibility@ucl.ac.uk to arrange this. Please wait until the books that you have requested are available for collection before contacting us. The person collecting the books must have a valid and current UCL ID card or UCL Library card. We will email the person collecting the books to confirm a time for the collection, and they will need to present this email when they visit the Library. RETURNS Books can be returned in person to our libraries, please see our opening hours for further information. Books can also be posted to our address listed on our contact page. For those users who do not wish to visit a Post Office, Royal Mail now offers a Parcel Collect service which allows you to pay for postage online, print off an address label and have your parcel collected from your door. LIBRARY SAFETY We are committed to keeping all staff and customers safe. We have introduced a range of measures including cleaning rotas and the provision of hand sanitiser and wipes. Please follow the signs and rules when visiting our library sites. See UCL’s Keeping Safe on Campus pages for more information.
