Manorville FD Responds to a Structure Fire

Member Christopher Steel, February 27

On Monday, February 27th, The Manorville Fire Dept. was activated @ 1359 Hours
for a Reported Structure Fire. Manorville Assistant Chief 5-16-32 was first on
scene and transmitted the 13-35 for a Working Structure Fire. Manorville Chief
5-16-30 was 2nd due and assumed command. Tanker 5-16-9 was the first engine on
scene and established 2 hand lines, 1 for the exterior, 1 for the interior.

Manorville Fire Dept. - Cold Water Rescue Drill

On Tuesday, February 21st @ 1900 Hours, The Manorville Fire Department hosted
our annual Ice/Cold Water Drill. With the weather being warm, we had no ice, so
it was just a cold water drill. We held the drill at a small pond at Pine Hill
Country Club. Numerous vehicles from Manorville FD, especially Unit 5-16-15, our

Manorville FD Responds to Motor Vehicle Accident

On Sunday, January 15th at 1915 Hours, The Manorville FD was activated to
respond to a reported motor vehicle accident on County Road 111 in front of
Starbucks. The call was reported as a 2 Car MVA with entrapment. 2nd Assistant
Chief Steel was 1st on scene and confirmed a 2 Car 1 MVA with 1 person trapped.

On Tuesday, January 10th at 1930 Hours, The Manorville Fire Department was
activated to respond to a reported structure fire on Primrose Path in
Manorville. 2nd Assistant Chief Steel was first on scene and reported a working
structure fire. Fire was visible on 3 of the 4 sides of the home. All occupants

On Sunday, January 1st at 0915 Hours, Manorville Fire was activated to respond
to a Reported Motor Vehicle Accident on Moriches Middle Island Road between
Weeks Ave and Cranford Blvd. Chief Danowski was fist on scene and confirmed a 1

On Sunday, November 13th at 1108 AM, Manorville FD was activated to respond to
an EMS Asist in Manorville Hills County Park. Two women where riding horses on
the horse trail when a few dirt bikes went passed the 2 horses. One of the
Horses get startled and the woman riding was tossed off the horse and was
injured. The 911 call was able to get a GPS Location of the incoming call and

On Friday, November 11th at 07:56AM, Manorville Fire Department was activated to
respond to a 2 Car Motor Vehicle Accident including a Roll Over and one person
trapped. Chief Danowski was first on scene and confirmed one vehicle on it's

At 0417 Hours on Monday, October 3rd, The Manorville FD was activated to respond
to a reported Vehicle Fire on the East bound Long Island Expressway between Exit
69 and 70. Assistant Chief Rosario was first on scene and confirmed to all units
a working vehicle fire. Engine 5-16-2 was first due, with Tanker 5-16-9 second
