WAIT! DON'T CLOSE THIS PAGE! THIS IS PART OF THE CYBERSECURITY TRAINING EXERCISE CONDUCTED BY ROCHESTER REGIONAL HEALTH This page isn't malicious, but it could have been! Scroll down to learn more. By clicking "Acknowledge" you agree that you have read and understand the educational material on this page as part of the Phishing Campaign. Acknowledge Here's what we learned: _ * The email uses Rochester Regional Health’s logo, but the content and the sender’s domain do not align with the organization's legitimate communications. * The sender’s email address <rewards@corp-internal.com> is a generic unknown domain name. * The subject "Thank you gift card!" is designed to grab your attention and entice you to take action quickly, a common tactic in phishing. * The banner stating the email is not from Rochester Regional Health’s email system and is from an outside source is a clear indicator of a potential phishing attempt. * The email asks to log in to a rewards portal, which is a common phishing tactic to harvest login credentials. * The email claims to be from "Rochester Regional Health System and Company Rewards™," but the sender address and domain do not match either organization. TIPS FOR STAYING SAFE: * Legitimate companies will never ask you to confirm your personal information or username/password in email. * Phishing emails frequently contain spelling and grammar mistakes. * Verify that the sender's email address matches the official domain of the company they claim to represent. * Be skeptical of offers that seem unusually generous or unbelievable. * Be cautious of unsolicited emails, especially those from unknown senders. * Avoid opening unexpected attachments or downloading files from unknown sources. * Never click on links in emails until you confirm the sender is authentic. * Be suspicious of file attachments with a generic or impersonal message. * One of the most effective ways to stay safe is to hover your mouse over links in the message to see if you recognize them. * If you are on an iPhone, tap and hold on a link to view the destination site. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Information Security Team. This phishing simulation was provided by Rochester Regional Health and St. Lawrence Health to help teach you to recognize commonly-used phishing risks. To appear as realistic as possible, it may contain the name, brand or logo of unaffiliated third parties. Please do NOT contact the company that is named or whose brands or logos were used. If you have any questions or concerns about phishing emails, please contact (585) 922-HELP. If you're not local to the Rochester area please contact (833) 922-4350.
