JOB DESCRIPTION

 * Responsible for developing and executing the organisational strategy. This
   includes developing and aligning South Africa’s business plan to the group
   strategy.
 * Managing and growing all work and operations within South Africa.
 * Identifying and developing new markets and services that can be provided and
   market and sell these to new clients.
 * Creating, reviewing, and implementing the business plan for South Africa and
   measuring performance against the business plan.
 * Market and build the organisation’s brand and service offering within South
   Africa. This includes effective tender management, conducting a competitor
   analysis, analysing the market potential, building, and maintaining a leads
   database location and names of mines, including contact details etc.).
 * Growing the South Africa market share through upselling and cross-selling the
   organisation’s services to new and existing clients.
 * Ensuring that all work that is delivered within South Africa is aligned to
   the organisation’s methodology, systems, and principles. This includes
   ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and against
   our quality standards.
 * Effectively overseeing financial management of South Africa, including
   budgeting, forecasting, analysis etc.
 * Effectively managing people which will include, development, recruitment,
   coaching and mentoring, disciplining, succession planning and performance
   management.
 * Liaising with shareholders.
 * Effectively managing the transformational goals within South Africa,
   championing transformation and BBBEE.
 * Information channel to the COO.
 * Report writing, with the ability to communicate to all stakeholders.
 * Required to be focused on Client centricity.
 * Coming with financial awareness, with the ability to manage projects in
   accordance with budget.
 * Ability to influence and negotiate.
 * Ability to work independently as well as within teams.
 * Innovative.
 * Required to be familiar with applicable country legislation.
 * Environmental Management.
 * Financial Management principles.

 * Strategic Analysis.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 * Post graduate degree in Natural Science, Social Science or Environmental
   fields.
 * 8- 10 years in related scientific field
 * 5 - 8 years in an environmental consulting role
 * 5 -10 years’ experience in management
 * At least 5 years exposure to the mining and mineral resources industry
 * Business or Financial post graduate qualification (beneficial).
 * Project Management Certificate (beneficial).
 * Management Development Programme (MDP) or similar qualification (beneficial).
 * Registered with a professional body such as SACNASP or EAPASA.
 * Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and prepared to obtain other vaccinations
   that may be required by clients and for travel purposes.
