AMAZING HOTEL
The hotel was the best hotel I have stayed in while in New York City. Great
location. Rooms were large. Beds comfortable. Rooms looked new. We had an
incredible view.

Poor from the team from start to end: rude reception staff, breakfast venue
hopelessly under resourced, elevator proximity to room made sleep
impossible (no alternative offered), tatty carpets and broken bathroom
grouting, no room service 11h30-17h30. Unacceptable on so many levels,
never again.

This facility is in urgent need of a complete overhaul. Room was a joke at
$900/night. The service is equally lousy. Staff are just processing people.

OVERPRICED FOR POOR SERVICE
As Titanium Elite, I have been to numerous Marriott properties. The poor
service started at check-in when being ignored in the Bonvoy check-in line.
After multiple people were checked-in from the regular line, I finally I
cut in front. No apologies for being ignored.
The Foundry breakfast buffet - the “hot” food was cold for 3 days straight.
Thankfully I didn’t pay for it.
The Foundry restaurant - I was charged $22 for pasta with butter for my
child. Even in NYC, this is ridiculous.
In Room Dining - needs to be an available before 5:30 and after 10:30. No
food options inside the hotel after 10:30pm.

OVERALL, HOTEL IS NICE
Great location. Room service was very fast. Check in was super fast, and
staff was very friendly and explained everything. The body wash was empty
and we contacted housekeeping they never came, we left for the day and came
back and saw that our room was “refreshed” however they still did not
refill the body wash. Luckily my husband brought his. if you don’t mind
being right behind Times Square and the sound of ambulance sirens and cars
constantly honking then it’s the hotel for you but if you want quiet, don’t
stay here

IDEAL LOCATION, FEW MINOR ISSUES
You will not find a better hotel in Manhattan for location and cleanliness.
The hotel is near the center of Times Square and you can easily access the
subway. When looking for a hotel, we are looking for a clean hotel in an
attractive location. The Westin Times Square clearly checks both boxes.
A couple minor issues: I dont understand why a hotel of this caliber
doesn't have refridgerators in each room. It should be expected that guests
will be eating out and without a refridgerator, leftovers must be
non-existent. Also, it was odd that the main bathroom light operated on a
motion sensor. Any time someone had to use the bathroom, all other room
occupants were awoken because the light turned on before the bathroom door
could be shut.
But if you're looking for a clean, upscale hotel in a great location, the
Westin is for you. Just make sure you eat all your dinner at the restaurant
and don't drink too much water before going to bed.
