A mother of 4, Vanessa is a lifelong learner who holds degrees in supply chain, organizational development and human resources management from Université de Paris I, HEC and CEDEP. × DAVE WHEELER Chief Operating Officer New Balance Dave Wheeler, Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the company’s end-to-end supply chain operations including demand and supply planning, strategic sourcing, manufacturing, quality assurance, product development, global distribution/warehousing and global facilities, ensuring delivery of millions of athletic shoes and apparel that are produced domestically and sourced from more than 14 countries globally. Prior to joining New Balance in 2017, Dave led Global Supply Chain and Fleet Management at Cintas Corporation with responsibility for the company’s integrated global supply chain and private truck fleet. Previously, he was at Union Pacific and the U.S. Department of Defense. Dave is passionate about growing and sustaining New Balance’s culture of purpose, a reflection of the global company’s core values of integrity, teamwork and total customer satisfaction. He resides in the Boston area with his wife of 34 years and two daughters. × KAROLINE DYGAS Vice President And CPO Nordstrom Karoline Dygas is Nordstrom’s Vice President and CPO leading Strategic Sourcing and Procurement for all non-merchandise spend. She joined Nordstrom in April 2019 and is responsible for leading a holistic strategic sourcing transformation to provide a digitally focused procurement service delivery model that will positively impact the customer experience and company financial performance. Prior to joining Nordstrom, she was Starbucks Corp Vice President leading Global Sourcing, Store Development and Siren Retail Supply Chains. She was part of Starbucks Global Supply Chain leadership team and was accountable for sourcing of all capital and commercial equipment, FFE, R&M and QA services, as well as leading the global end-to-end supply chains for Store Development and Siren Retail (Starbucks Roastery & Reserve and Princi brands). Before joining Starbucks, Karoline was the Senior Director Strategic Sourcing at Walgreens based in Deerfield, Illinois where she was responsible for $1.5B annual spend across multiple categories supporting Store Development, Energy & Environmental Sustainability, and Marketing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University and later completed her dual MBA from both Purdue University and ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris, France. She lives in Issaquah, WA with her husband Josh, two children Morgan and Max, and their Samoyed-Husky rescue dog named Yeti. × JAMES GOWEN SVP Global Supply Chain, Chief Sustainability Officer Verizon James Gowen is Sr. Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Chief Sustainability Officer for Verizon. Since taking on these complementary roles in 2009, his team has enlisted more than 58,000 Verizon employees in 53 countries around the globe in helping to reduce the company’s environmental footprint while increasing the efficiency of a growing enterprise. In his supply chain role, Gowen leads all inventory planning and logistics operations globally. Gowen is responsible for the planning of over $35B of inventory across all Verizon’s lines of business. Additionally, Gowen has responsibility for procurement, warehousing, transportation, quality, returns and end-of-life monetization. In 2015, Gowen spearheaded the start-up of Verizon Services Ireland Limited in Dublin, Ireland. He was responsible for transitioning $15B in annual spend for strategic sourcing of Verizon’s Network and IT operations. Over 85 industry professionals were hired and a state-of-the-art center of excellence was built under Gowen’s leadership in less than 7 months. Having held several positions of increasing levels of responsibility at Verizon, Gowen was the lead architect of the company's supply chain strategy and led the strategic shift from a fixed to a variable inventory business model. While in corporate sourcing, he led the implementation of Verizon's eProcurement effort, and the standardization of Verizon's supply chain systems. Gowen earned his master's degree in business administration from Long Island University and his bachelor's degree from Manhattanville College. He is a member of Penn State University’s Smeal Sustainability Advisory Board. He is also the current Chairman of GeSI (Global eSustainability based out of Brussels), and a board member of the MIT Climate and Sustainability Consortium. Gowen is located at Verizon Center in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. × AMALIA LONDONO EVP End To End Supply Chain North America Colgate-Palmolive Company Amalia Londono is an experienced Supply Chain Professional, wife and mother of 3 sons, and is currently the Executive Vice President, End to End Supply Chain North America at Colgate-Palmolive. When she started her career making deodorant in a NJ plant, she didn’t envision that 20+ years later she would be leading the End-to-End Supply Chain for Colgate-Palmolive in North America. Over her career, she has had rich experiences domestically and internationally across various areas of the supply chain - working on the factory floor, launching innovative products, procuring raw and packaging materials, designing supply chain and logistics networks, and most importantly, developing and working with many talented and diverse people around the world. Currently, Amalia is excited to be leading the transformation of 5 manufacturing plants, 6 distribution centers, and an ecosystem of 20+ external manufacturers and copackers in North America into a digital, resilient, and sustainable supply chain. Amalia is known for her passion, pragmatic analysis, and delight of working with people. Amalia was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She has a degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Wharton School of Business. × SHAUNA GAMBLE CPO & SVP Supply Chain BOMBARDIER Shauna Gamble joined Bombardier in 2017 as vice-president, Procurement of the Business Aircraft division. Soon thereafter, Shauna’s role was expanded to lead a newly-formed Aerospace Procurement and Supply Chain organization, responsible for commodity strategies, contract management, supplier relations, purchasing, logistics, and inventory management for both business and commercial aircraft at Bombardier. In 2020, Shauna was promoted to Chief Procurement Officer of Bombardier Aviation. Bombardier is now solely focused on building and servicing the world’s best business jets. Since joining Bombardier, Shauna has made it her mission to transform Procurement Aviation into a best-in-class organization. She initiated the Diamond Supplier Program to increase accountability across the supply chain and to raise the company’s profile. The Diamond Supplier Program recognizes outstanding supplier performance across Bombardier Aviation. Shauna also spearheaded the creation of a Procurement Academy at Bombardier, providing an opportunity for team members to improve their expertise at all levels. In 2023, Shauna and her Supply Chain team will support Bombardier’s increased focus on the Defense and Aftermarket business segments. A seasoned executive with excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills, Shauna has more than 20 years of experience in global supply chain and operations. Prior to joining the organization, Shauna held senior leadership positions at Danby Appliances and Telecommunications equipment provider Ciena. Shauna is on the Advisory Boards of Resilinc and Sport Maska (CCM Hockey). Shauna Gamble is based at Bombardier Aviation headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. × CHRIS NIELSEN EVP, Product Support & Chief Quality Officer Toyota Motor North America Chris Nielsen is Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor North America and serves as both the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) and Chief Quality Officer (CQO), and is a member of the North American Executive Committee. Nielsen has responsibility for all of Toyota’s $45B+ supply chain operations, product quality, after sales service operations and the Toyota Production System development groups. Previously, Nielsen served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Corporate Strategy, and Purchasing for Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) located in Erlanger, Kentucky. During his tenure, Nielsen’s leadership was pivotal in the “One Toyota” Headquarters initiative resulting in a successful merger of two Toyota affiliates with distinct cultures that operated separately for over 30 years. Prior to that assignment, Nielsen was president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc (TMMTX) located in San Antonio, Texas. From 2003 to 2006, Nielsen served as project leader responsible for the overall design and construction of TMMTX, a $1.2 Billion project. Nielsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute), and an Executive Education Certificate from The Wharton School of Business. He is a member of the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing U.S. Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the Toyota Motor North America Audit Committee. Nielsen is also a member of the National Association of Manufacturers Board of Directors (Executive Committee), Manufacturing Institute Board of Directors, Dallas Regional Chamber, Board of Directors (Executive Committee, 2019 Chair), Dallas Citizens Council Board of Directors, and Texas 2036 Donor Advisory Council. × ROBERTO CANEVARI EVP & Chief Supply Chain Officer The Estée Lauder Companies Roberto Canevari was named Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., in 2021. In this role, Mr. Canevari oversees the company’s Global Supply Chain operations, including end-to-end procurement, manufacturing, planning, quality assurance and logistics for the Company’s diverse brand portfolio across all channels and geographies.
