NEW BRUNSWICK CULTURAL CENTER

New Brunswick Cultural Center’s mission is to stimulate the cultural development
and economic growth of arts and entertainment in New Brunswick through the
enhancement, preservation, maintenance and effective administration of existing
and future venues that service the primary constituent base of the New Brunswick
Cultural Center. And, by nurturing emerging and viable arts, educational and
entertainment organizations that reach the diverse communities of New
Brunswick, New Brunswick Cultural Center and its Arts Partners thrive to
establish New Brunswick as the premier arts and entertainment destination in the

NEW BRUNSWICK HEART FESTIVAL


SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 2023
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Join us for the annual New Brunswick Heart Festival this August! This year’s
festival will take place in downtown New Brunswick in-person at Monument Square
at 2 Livingston Ave and will be live streamed on YouTube. The festival, which
celebrates all of the vibrant arts and history that New Brunswick and the County
of Middlesex has to offer, will feature live music, craft making activities, and
more!

AMERICAN REPERTORY BALLET

American Repertory Ballet’s mission is to bring the joy, beauty, artistry and
discipline of classical and contemporary dance to New Jersey and nationwide
audiences and to dance students through artistic and educational programs. The
organization comprises: the preeminent professional classical and contemporary
ballet company in the state; Princeton Ballet School, one of the largest and
most respected non-profit dance schools in the nation; and ARB’s Access &
Enrichment initiatives, including its acclaimed DANCE POWER program, the longest
continuously running community and arts partnership in New Jersey. ARB was voted
the Jersey Arts People’s Choice for “Favorite Dance Company” in 2008, 2011,
2012, 2015 and 2016.

MASON GROSS SCHOOL OF THE ARTS

The Mason Gross School of the Arts is the fine and performing arts conservatory
of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, with undergraduate and graduate
programs in dance, film, music, theater, and visual arts. The school also
provides the larger community the opportunity to embrace the creative arts
through online courses and arts instruction for all ages and abilities.
Students, award-winning faculty, and notable visiting artists are featured in
the more than 550 events per year that take place at the Mason Gross Performing
Arts Center & Galleries.

ZIMMERLI ART MUSEUM AT RUTGERS UNIVERSITY

The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers is one of the largest and most distinguished
university-based museums in the country. It collects, preserves, researches, and
exhibits world-class works of art to provide the university community and
diverse regional, national, international audiences with direct experience of
the visual arts. The Zimmerli’s permanent collection of 60,000 objects ranges
from ancient to contemporary art and featuring particularly rich holdings in the
areas of 19th-century French art, Russian and Soviet Nonconformist art, and
American and European works on paper, including prints, drawings, photographs,
and rare books.

ELIJAH’S PROMISE

Since 1989, Elijah’s Promise has harnessed the power of food to break the cycle
of poverty, alleviate hunger and change lives.  We operate a community soup
kitchen, culinary arts school, catering business and connect low-income
individuals and families with social and health services. With the support of
volunteers, donors and community partners, we serve more than 200,000 meals per
year and train previously unskilled workers for careers in the food services
industry.
