OUR MISSION

33 BUCKETS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGH LONG-TERM
ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER.

OUR PURPOSE

TO ENABLE UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES TO ACHIEVE PROSPERITY.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW WE WORK DIFFERENTLY

Partnerships

We partner with small, rural communities who may often be overlooked due to
their size.

Unique Solutions

We are a team of engineers implementing innovative and tailored solutions that
adheres to human-centered design principles.

Empowerment

We ensure long term change. By placing local leaders at the center and providing
WASH Education, we empower people to break “poverty traps”.

For just $15, you can provide for an entire family today.

Read about our COVID-19 action

“…this is a start for [the families] to understand the importance of washing
their hands, sanitary matters, taking care of personal cleanliness, and
hygiene…I congratulate you for your job in this field.”

Dr. Fritz Marquina | Interim Doctor at Occopata Health Post

LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS

Access to clean water is one of the world’s greatest needs. But many water
projects last only a few years. To end the global water crisis for good, we need
more than just wells and filters.

33 Buckets partners with communities in need of clean water to launch
self-sustaining community water franchises. This empowers local populations to
permanently solve their water issues.

LIVES CHANGED

CLEAN WATER BROUGHT TO OVER 7,100 PEOPLE AND COUNTING.

OUR PROJECTS >>

"Before, 15% of our kids were malnourished with stomach problems.

Now, we have almost zero."

Agripino Cordova Tocre | School Principal | Huillcapata, Peru

Art-4-Agua tickets are now live on our website! Come support us on December 11th
at Shalimar Country Club and get the opportunity to bid on some amazing art
work! Tickets available at www.33buckets.org/art4agua-2022 📍 This is Margarita,
an artist in Cusco selling her work at San Pedro Market!

Happy World Mental Health Day! Here at 33 Buckets, we believe that taking care
of your mental health is essential to maintaining happiness and health so that
we can continue to be our best selves. Please take a moment to check in with
yourself and your friends today! Caring for your mental health is important and
so are you!

Today is World Teachers Day, a day to celebrate the educators all around the
world raising the next generation of leaders. We have the special opportunity of
meeting the teachers in communities we partner with during our WASH (Water,
Sanitation, and Hygiene) seminars. Being able to teach the kids about the
importance of water safety means we get to make sure the future leaders of their
communities have a passion for water safety as they take over as water managers,
teachers, and everything in between. Thank you to all of our teachers!

Happy October everyone! In Peru, the month of October is Mes Morado (or purple
month) in honor of El Señor de los Milagros (the Lord of Miracles). It is called
purple month to honor the Nazarenas nuns in Lima, who’s color is purple. People
dress from head to toe in purple as a sign of their devotion and thousands of
people travel to Lima to pray and make offerings. There are several days with
processions in honor of El Señor de los Milagros including a 24 hour long
procession, which is the longest procession in all of the Americas annually! 📍

Coming soon: community videos! We are so excited to be able to create videos
that highlight our partnered communities and they will soon be available for
viewing on our website! Here is a sneak peek of our Mollepata video!
Today is World Inventors Day which is a day to celebrate all of the projects
being implemented in order to improve the livelihood of others. This video is
from last summer during the development of the SICLOP 3.3 which is now
implemented in Totora, one of our partnered communities. Leave us questions
about it below!
Happy World Tourism Day! With the work that we do in Peru we have had the
opportunity to learn a lot about the tourism highlights in the Cusco area! Cusco
is the launching point for a multitude of tours including Lake Humantay, Machu
Picchu, The Rainbow Mountains, Salas de Maras (salt mines), Moray and so much
more! This summer, when we travelled to Mollepata to meet with the water
managers, we had the opportunity to stay an extra day and take a trip to Lake
Humantay as a team which is pictured in the second photo! Tourism keeps cities
alive and although the tourism rates are going back up, they are still much
lower than they were before Covid. So, if you get the chance, consider a trip to
Cusco!

Happy World Gratitude Day! Today gives us the opportunity to express our
gratitude for all of the amazing people we have had the opportunity to work
with. We are so grateful for all of the amazing people that we have been able to
cultivate friendships with through our partnerships in Peru. We are also
incredibly grateful for all of the people supporting us and ensuring that we can
continue our work and giving us the opportunity to grow. Happy World Gratitude
Day and thank you all!

We are officially less than 3 months out from our Art-4-Agua auction! We are so
exited to see everyone there. If you know of any artists that are willing to
donate art or have any art that you would like to donate to the auction please
reach out to us at mara@33buckets.org All of the proceeds from the auction will
go directly to the project that we are working on in Peru!

Coming soon: community videos! We are so excited to be able to create videos
that highlight our partnered communities and they will soon be available for
viewing on our website! Here is a sneak peek of our Totora video!

Why is Chlorination Important?

Mark Huerta

Clean water is something that a majority of the modern world takes for granted.
When the tap is opened, clean water flows. We use our water for drinking,
cooking, washing, and much more without worry that it will run out or no longer
be safe for consumption. Ultimately, we don’t live every day considering how
access to clean water makes our lives possible. But for many individuals,
families, and communities, this is not the case.
