FIND YOUR CANDIDATE FOR THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTION

  

The following individuals have successfully submitted their nomination packages
and have satisfied the requirements set out in the Otipemisiwak Métis Government
Elections and Referenda Act (the Election Law). As such, the Chief Electoral
Officer has deemed the following individuals as candidates in the 2023 General
Election for the Otipemisiwak Métis Government.

[ACCLAIMED] Election by Acclamation: Where the Chief Electoral Officer accepted
only one candidate nomination for an elected office within the nomination
period, pursuant to Section 44 of the Election Law. The certified candidate is
to be elected to their respective office.

[CONDITIONALLY DECLARED CANDIDATE]: Where candidates have been conditionally
declared pending the receival of additional information to verify eligibility.

This notice is to inform you that the people listed in the Public Notice have
courageously raised their hand to lead us in the first Otipemisiwak Métis
Government. Now it’s up to you – Please click on the Public Notice below to
review the list of candidates and make a plan to vote and help shape the future
of our Nation.

YOUR OTIPEMISIWAK MÉTIS GOVERNMENT.

This September, the Métis Nation of Alberta will be holding a General Election
for the Otipemisiwak Métis Government.

From September 13th to September 19th, Citizens of the Métis Nation of Alberta
will have the opportunity to elect the first ever Otipemisiwak Métis Government.
This is a historic step toward the true self-determination for which our
ancestors fought. Don’t miss this chance to make your voice heard, and help
shape the future of our Nation.

Eligible MNA Citizens will have the opportunity to vote by one of the following
methods:

 * In-Person Voting
 * Mail-In Voting
 * Electronic Voting
