SAS Announces New Distributor Agreement with EJ

Safe Airport Solutions is pleased to announce our having agreed to distribute EJ
Airport Products to Hong Kong International Airport in Hong Kong.  EJ offers
many styles of construction castings specifically designed for airports and
other environments that undergo excessive load conditions.  From round or square
manhole frames and covers, catch basins, drainage inlets, trench grating and
mooring eyes, EJ has you covered.  All extra heavy duty construction castings
are manufactured with grey iron conforming to ASTMA 48 Class 35B and ductile
iron conforming to ASTM A536.  Many of EJ’s airport castings can be
made-to-order with custom logos and messaging, in most languages, to meet your
project specifications.

RECENT PROJECTS




PO20008956S(N) - UPGRADE OF ENTIRE H3A 400HZ GROUND POWER UNIT SYSTEM

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) awarded SAS the contract:

PO20008956S(N) for the Design, Supply and Upgrade (Replacement) of Fixed Ground
Power Systems (FGP) at HAECO Hangar 3A at the Hong Kong International Airport
(HKIA).

A conventional "Centralised System" (6 x 120kVA) was replaced with a new "Point
of Use" solution (8 x 90kVA 2400 plus 2 x Power Coil) from ITW GSE, enhancing
site safety and reliability of the Fixed Ground Power System.

Three Runway System - Main Reclamation Works

 

SAS provided Design, Consultancy, Remove and Installation services for the
airfield lighting specialised system, helping main contractor ZCC JV to ensure
that the AGL Specialised System is operating normally and is not affected by
their reclamation works.



3052EM20M - Improvement Work of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Transformer
Housings and Associated Accessories at Hong Kong International Airport 

The Works carried out by SAS includes, but not be limited to, improvement,
replacement, cleaning work of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Transformer
Housings and associated systems, Setting out Marker boards, Equipment
Calibrations, etc. in accordance with the Specification. 



Contract 3402 - PMI 034 Taxiway A&B Advance Works for C3310 North Runway
Modification Works

SAS accommodated with the designs and project management of the affected AGLs
during Civil Works were performed. This involved CCR works, blanking off AGL,
removal and reinstatement of top sections of Transformer Housings at C3310 areas
1a1 and 1a2 of Taxiway A11 and A12. As the works area is within the operational
area, all related works were carried out during NOTAM of North Runway Closure.
All AGLs and MAGS leading to the associated Areas were deactivated in order to
avoid aircrafts from entering into to the affected areas unnecessarily.



PA11305 - Framework Agreement for The Supply of Spare Parts for Fixed Ground
Power System (AXA Equipment) at The Hong Kong International Airport

The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) awarded SAS the contract:

Framework Agreement for the Supply of Spare Parts for Fixed Ground Power System
(AXA / ITW GSE Equipment) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

This is a 3 year Term Contract to provide parts and service ensuring the
availability of reliable and sustainable ground power to aircraft at HKIA.





Contract T19W001 - Replacement and Enhancement of Movement Area Guidance Signs
on Runways at HKIA

The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) awarded SAS the contract:

T19W001 for Replacement and Enhancement of Movement Area Guidance Signs on
Runways.

SAS shall supply, install and commission new MAGs from OCEM to provide a
reliable and sustainable LED solution, enhancing this visual aid in all weather
conditions to pilots whilst taxiing at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).



HX-101622 - Framework Agreement for Provision of Works at HAECO HKIA

HAECO has assigned SAS as their Specialist Contractor for FGP solutions in their
major hangar facilities at HKIA.



Contract T20W002 - Replacement of Frequency Converters and Connecting Units of
Fixed Ground Power System at The Hong Kong International Airport

The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) awarded SAS the contract:

T20W002 for the Replacement of Frequency Converters and Connecting Units of
FGPs.

SAS shall supply, install and commission new Fixed Ground Power Units from
ITW-GSE and accompanying Fixed Ground Power Hatch Pits from TDA Lefebure to
provide sustainable ground power to aircraft at Hong Kong International Airport
(HKIA).



CONTRACT T20W021 Design, Supply and Installation, T19M405 - Maintenance Service
of Unmanned Aircraft System Detection and Interception System (UASDIS)

SAS has been awarded by Chinney Alliance Engineering Limited for Contract
T19M045 - Maintenance Service and was involved in Project Management of T20W021
- Design, Supply and Installation of Unmanned Aircraft System Detection and
Interception System in Dec 2020. The Substantial completion of the Works should
be approximately 1460 calendar days from the commencement date of the Works



T2017-0044 Design, Supply and Upgrade of Fixed Ground Power Systems (FGP) at
HAECO Hangar 1

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) awarded SAS the contract:

T2017-0044 for Design, Supply and Upgrade (Replacement) of Fixed Ground Power
Systems (FGP) at HAECO Hangar 1 at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

A conventional "Centralised System" (3 x 120kVA) was replaced with a new "Point
of Use" solution (5 x 90kVA) from ITW-GSE, enhancing site safety and
reliability.



Mackay Airport Re-establishment of Cross Runway 05/23 - Airfield Ground Lighting
Solutions (Australia)

SAS has provided Mackay Airport (QLD, Australia) with an indicative AGL Design
Solution to support the operations of a future pilot training academy.



CONTRACT P568 - Midfield Apron Development Works - AGL, AWOS Mast, EVWL, APA and
AGLCMS.

SAS was Subcontracted the below Special Systems works:



AGL:

Consultancy and Project Management services to Tak Chi Electrical Engineering
Limited.

AWOS Mast:

Supply and Installation of Anemometer Mast to PCCW.

EVWL:

Supply and Installation of Enhanced Vehicle Warning Lights (EVWL) to Honeywell.

APA:

Project Management and Engineering services to Tak Chi Electrical Engineering
Limited.
