The Haines Family Association, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to rescuing and maintaining historic markers, cemeteries, and burying grounds, such as the Aaron Haines Cemetery and the Layman Burying Ground in Haines Falls; to promoting an increase in knowledge of and interest in the pioneer spirit of the early settlers of the mountaintop by researching, collecting, preserving, and publishing the genealogical history of its settlement and their contributions to the development of this area; and to undertaking such other worthwhile projects and efforts that will contribute to the general public good.
