YOUR WORLD IS ALWAYS CHANGING, AND SO ARE WE.

Today, Weston & Sampson offers interdisciplinary design, engineering, and
environmental services that make the world a better place. Innovative and
reliable, we've worked to improve the communities where you live, work, and play
for more than a century.

RESILIENT MA ACTION TEAM (RMAT) TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Weston & Sampson served as lead technical consultant for the Resilient MA Action
Team (RMAT) in developing the Statewide Climate Resilience Design Standards
Tool, released by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental
Affairs. This first-in-the-nation web-based beta tool makes preliminary climate
resilience analyses broadly available to the public at no charge to inform
“climate smart” capital planning and design.

RYAN PARK, SOUTH NORWALK CONNECTICUT

A Brownfields Success Story, Ryan Park in South Norwalk, Connecticut, was
awarded $2 million in DECD grant funding to initiate Weston & Sampson’s remedial
plan and address PCB and other environmental contaminates across the site and
put the park back into active use for the community.

CHARLES RIVER WATERSHED FLOOD MODEL

Weston & Sampson worked with the Charles River Watershed Association, who, using
grant funding from the Massachusetts MVP program, has developed and released the
first ever comprehensive stormwater flood model for the Upper and Middle Charles
River watershed. The model will aid in planning for mitigation of flooding
caused by increased precipitation.

BOSTON CITY HALL PLAZA RENOVATION

Weston & Sampson conducted environmental and geotechnical investigations in
addition to geotechnical and structural engineering for the 7-acre $70M City
Hall Plaza Renovation as part of the Sasaki Associates team working for the City
of Boston Public Facilities Department.

PFAS REMOVAL AT PEASE INTERNATIONAL TRADEPORT

Weston & Sampson provided services for PFAS removal and phased construction of
an existing water treatment facility in Portsmouth, NH, which is located at the
former Pease Air Force Base and listed on the US EPA’s National Priorities List
(NPL).

LANGONE PARK & PUOPOLO PLAYGROUND

In collaboration with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department (BPRD),
Weston & Sampson led the community outreach, design, permitting, and
construction for the comprehensive renewal of this 4.5-acre signature waterfront
park in Boston’s historic North End.

DRAINAGE BASIN EVALUATION & FLOOD REDUCTION STUDY

Weston & Sampson was selected by the City of Charleston to perform the Church
Creek Drainage Basin and Flood Reduction Study. The Basin includes over 10,000
acres of residential and commercial developments.

MOAKLEY PARK RESILIENCY IMPROVEMENTS

Weston & Sampson is proud to support the City of Boston and lead consultant
Stoss Landscape Urbanism with advancing climate resilience along the South
Boston waterfront, and improving community opportunities at Moakley Park,
including technical assessments and subsurface investigations that informed
design considerations for resiliency improvements.
