GAMES BY LUCAS POPE Mars After Midnight OFF-COLONY COMMUNITY SUPPORT CENTER Tonight's session / 01:00AM - 05:00AM / "Cyclops anger management" Qualified martians only. A small 1-bit game I'm working on for Playdate. * Development Log * For Playdate Current Return of the Obra Dinn AN INSURANCE ADVENTURE WITH MINIMAL COLOR In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods. Six months later it hadn't met its rendezvous point at the Cape of Good Hope and was declared lost at sea. Early this morning of October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn drifted into port at Falmouth with damaged sails and no visible crew. As insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, dispatch immediately to Falmouth, find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages. Return of the Obra Dinn is a first-person mystery adventure based on exploration and logical deduction. It's not meant to be a proper demo of the final product but it's probably safe to extrapolate from here. Barely tested and possibly full of bugs. Progress is not saved. Join the devlog or find me on twitter for comments and suggestions. --------------------------- Controls Move................WASD Look................Mouse Use.................Space, Left Mouse Button Menu................Escape Take Screenshot.....P (Saved to ./Captures/Screenshots) Toggle Fullscreen...ALT-ENTER (Windows), Command-F (Mac) --------------------------- * Game Homepage * Development Log * Time-lapse of creating the player's in-game hand * Schematic time-lapse: three years of modeling in 50 minutes * Made with Unity 3D October 18, 2018 Papers, Please A DYSTOPIAN DOCUMENT THRILLER. The communist state of Arstotzka has ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested. It has a rough implementation of the first 8 days of the final game and gives a good idea about the gameplay. Many issues were changed or fixed for the final version. Although the final commercial release works ok on modern versions of Mac OSX, this beta does not run on OSX Mavericks or newer. * Game Homepage * Watch the Trailer * Development Log * Localization Post-mortem * Download the Beta 0.5.13 assets for modding (spoilers) * Made with Haxe/OpenFL August 8, 2013 Unsolicited MAKE THE ACME FORM-LETTER COMPANY STAND OUT AS THE PREMIER FORM-LETTER MAILING SERVICE ON EARTH. We have gathered intelligence that implicates the Clockmaker as the mastermind behind the attack. However, the Gambler was seen placing the bomb at the rally. We believe the Clockmaker does not personally know the Gambler. There is a network of saboteurs disguised among groups of innocent citizens. Bomb instructions were passed between multiple pairs of saboteur acquaintances. Review the security tapes from today to track the note and uncover the saboteurs. This is my entry for Ludum Dare 23. You must use your influence to print positive articles that paint Republia in a good light. I created this as a warmup for Ludum Dare, a 48 hour game-making competition. This is my first quickly-developed game and my first Flash game. Flash debugging is a nightmare but otherwise I had fun.
