AMI Instructors enable you to become a self-reliant, safe and knowledgeable climber or mountaineer. Our members provide courses and instruction on climbing, mountaineering, navigation and mountain skills. AMI also provides technical services to companies that require specialist safety advice. AMI instruction is of a higher standard: a higher standard of professionalism, a higher standard of teaching. They are experts in teaching you new skills, safely. GUIDING & INSTRUCTION SERVICES Whatever your age or level of skill, you can benefit from a day out with an AMI Instructor. Our instructors have a huge variety of skills, find one that fits your needs. Find an instructor PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SERVICES AMI members are Technical Experts in mountaineering, rock climbing and other related activities as defined by the Adventure Activity Licensing Regulations. The Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) is the representative body for professionally qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors in the UK and Ireland. AMI was formed to represent the interests of the highly experienced mountaineers who have undergone rigorous training and assessment to qualify under the Mountain Training (MTUKI) Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor Scheme. All members of the Association are qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors or Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors. About the ami FIND AN INSTRUCTOR Whatever your age or level of skill, you can benefit from a day out with a Mountaineering Instructor who is a member of AMI. If you want a course that gives you experience and technique, as well as challenge and enjoyment, choose an AMI member. Find an instructor GUIDING & INSTRUCTION SERVICES Look for the AMI logo as assurance of high quality instruction. The AMI logo is used widely by sole traders and companies who are, or employ, AMI members. The AMI logo is a guarantee that those Instructors are qualified to teach climbing and mountaineering activities, professionally within the remit of their award(s).
