special toys to chew, your pet pals are not only welcomed at W but enjoy special
treats to make their experience as spectacular as yours.

We welcome cats and dogs 18kg (40 pounds) or less. Guests must sign a waiver
upon check-in and will be charged €25 per pet per day above the room rate. There
is also a non-refundable €100 cleaning fee regardless of the length of stay.
Service dogs are exempt of said fee.
Pets are not allowed in the hotel venues.

     PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THE W IN BARCELONA
     
     Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay at the W Hotel in Barcelona. This place
     is an absolute scam. I feel so ripped off. This was one of the biggest
     disappointments for a “luxury” hotel.
     First off, the staff was extremely rude and unfriendly. They made me feel
     extremely uncomfortable. One of the employees even questioned me and asked
     me where I was going ...can’t even walk in the hotel without employees
     questioning you.. very weird. Next, the “amenities” such as indoor pool,
     hot tub, sauna, and steam room are only available to you an hour a day if
     they are not too busy. This is laughable as they are listed as full access
     amenities- don’t be fooled!! Third, the room service food was AWFUL. I was
     shocked. Fourth, make sure you don’t ask for water anywhere but reception
     bc you will get charged for it- ridiculous. After all of that, no free
     breakfast. This was a very unpleasant stay and it makes me very upset that
     I chose to stay with the W. Location is also not great unless you are just
     going there to sit by a pool ( a lot of other hotels which are more
     reasonably priced have pools). Also, if you cancel your stay they will
     charge you. Please save you self and DO NOT stay here. For the money, this
     place is NOT worth it.

     ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
     
     Room design and layout was superb, really capitalised on the view and
     location. The bathroom and shower unit just as amazing. Overall, really
     loved the room.
     Also, staff were superbly friendly and helpful, location is absolutely
     brilliant (can't find a better location in Barcelona) and overall, a
     delight to have stayed here. Only feedback is avoid the spa - it's

     THE WORST MARRIOT BRAND EVER IN MY LIFE
     
     Among other issues,
     1) I have been harassed by the hotel security twice.
     2) Ignored by your waiter in your restaurant on the 26th floor.
     3) Been told by your manager that "In Spain" it is OK that the security
     guard asks about your country of origin before letting you in the hotel.
     and felt racism in your hotel.
     Have to add that your hotel director is a very decent person and tried to
     comfort me and my wife, but apparently, the issue is not solvable, and W
     Hotel ruined our family vacation, which we paid thousands of dollars for.

         For the first and foremost please take my sincerest apology for the
         less than satisfactory experience you had whilst staying with us, in
         regard to how everything was handled this was not how we would expect
         things to be done.
         
         We always try to provide the best service to our guests and on the
         occasion, we didn’t exceed our basic expectations. Our hotel has always
         taken pride in ensuring that our guests have the feeling of being at
         home away from home, with the main aim being guest satisfaction and
         quality delivery. Rest assured I've sat down with the team and share
         all your comments with our Director of Security and B&F Director so we
         can take corrective actions where needed and prevent all these
         speedbumps from happening again in the future. Also, we know our
         General Manager Peter Shickling were in contact with you during your
         stay, and we will discuss internally about all the issues during your
         stay to take some actions to prevent this on the future.
         
         Unfortunately, I'm not able to go back in time but in case we recover
         your trust on us I will be more than happy to offer a preferred rate
         and complimentary upgrade if you decide to give us another chance.
         
         Again, I am really sorry that you had experienced such a negative stay.
         In case you plan to come back to Barcelona, please reach out directly

     NOT UP TO STANDARD FOR SERVICE FOR A HIGH PRICED 5 STAR HOTEL
     
     The front desk staff seems overwhelmed almost at all times. Room wasn’t
     ready by the check in time stated on my reservation. Housekeeping doesn’t
     clean the room well. Pool is nice and good at pool is good. Best part was
     Coya. Great great food and service. Best restaurant there to me. View is
     great and walkable area of Barcelona. Not walkable to city center and
     tourist sites though but a short cab ride away and cabs are always there
     waiting.

     FAMILY VACATION AT WRONG HOTEL.
     
     We wanted to spend our last night at the beach so decided to stay at the
     Marriott W. We were wrong it is not a family hotel but a party hotel. Also
     our room was not ready and after two hours of being frustration we check
     and were told they forgot to call us. I do not recommend this hotel unless
     you want to party it is not relaxing or family friendly!

     W Hotel lived up to its reputation. It was an enjoyable stay! Everything
     was as anticipated and more. I would definitely make a return trip because
