DANREC PRODUCES GROUND PROTECTION MATS
MADE OF 100% RECYCLED PLASTIC

At DANREC, we produce ground protection mats and smooth plates made of 100%
recycled plastic. There are many advantages to plastic plates – among other
things, they have a high load capacity, are slip-resistant, have long
durability, and weigh far less than steel plates and wooden boards. If they
break, they can always be melted down into new plates again, so the circularity
of the product is 100%. We use recycled plastic in our entire production, and
all driving plates and smooth plates are made of 100% LDPE recycled plastic,
which has a significantly smaller CO2 footprint than new plastic plates.

HIGH QUALITY

All our plates can withstand high loads, are slip-resistant, resistant to
liquids and chemicals, and have long durability.

MANY PURPOSES

The GP mats are used on construction sites, as temporary walkways, driveways,
substrate protection, etc., and the smooth plates are used in barns, as wall
protection, or are further processed into feed boxes and crates.

LARGE SELECTION

Our range of ground protection mats and smooth plates is large and can be
delivered in many different sizes and thicknesses tailored to the individual
task.

GROUND PROTECTION MATS MADE OF 100% RECYCLED PLASTIC ⟶

DAN-Board plates are easy to handle and clean, they can be used for a multitude
of purposes in many sectors and industries.
All our plates are made of 100% recycled plastic. They are resistant to
mechanical loads and pressure and have good wear resistance. They are resistant
to water, most chemicals, and bioorganic liquids.
The plates are available in many different sizes and colors, and we always have
a large number of plates in stock for immediate delivery. We also manufacture
plates in size and color according to your wishes, with the option to choose
handles, connection holes, and custom-designed logos.

DANREC A/S was founded in 1992, where the company worked with plastic waste
treatment. That production was closed in the early 2000s, after which we began a
small production of smooth plastic plates made of 100% recycled plastic.

With the introduction of the driving plate in the mid-2010s, the development of
DANREC began to take off, and today we are among the leading manufacturers of
ground protection mats in Europe.

The environment and surroundings have always meant a lot to us, and therefore we
only use recycled plastic in production. We work every day to reduce our waste
amounts, and soon we will also have our own solar park of over 16,000 m2 at our
factory in Karup.

Kom ud og oplev naturen omkring Viborg, vi har gjort det lidt lettere

De sidste 10 dage har jeg været i Viborg for at designe 10-20-30s første
sponsorerede ruter.

Brostensbelagte Viborg og den betagende natur heromkring er et paradis for alle,
der holder af kultur og natur. Særligt Dollerup Bakker tager pusten fra en, men
jeg fandt også mange andre mere ukendte spots, der er en vandretur værd.

Hos DANREC er bæredygtighed ikke blot en ambition – det er en del af vores DNA.
DANREC’s 32 dedikerede medarbejdere arbejder målrettet mod at minimere vores
miljøpåvirkning og forbedre vores processer. Her er nogle af de vigtigste
resultater fra vores seneste miljøindsats:

1. 100% af de over 7.000 ton plast, vi bruger i vores produktion, er genanvendt
materiale . Hvilket svarer til den årlige mængde plastaffald fra 200.000
danskere.
2. 2023 blev hele 75% af vores affaldsmængde på 97 ton genanvendt, en
stigning fra 65% i 2022.
3. Vi har formået at reducere vores samlede affaldsmængde med over 4% fra
2022 til 2023.
4. Vores CO2-udledning er blevet reduceret med 6,8% fra 2022 til 2023,
hvilket svarer til 630.000 kg CO2 eller udledningen fra 1.968 slagtesvin.
5. Vi er stolte af at være ISO 14001-certificeret og en Klimaklar
produktionsvirksomhed.
6. Fra 2025 vil vores 16.000 m2 store solcellepark producere over 1,6
millioner kWh grøn strøm til vores produktion. Som svare til 355 Danske
hustandes årlige forbrug.

At DANREC A/S, we continue to focus on tangible solutions that support a
sustainable future. Through our recycling processes, we ensure that 7.000 tons
of post-consumer plastic waste is turned into valuable products annually,
directly contributing to the circular economy. Our commitment to improving our
environmental impact is real, from recycling efforts to reducing our energy
consumption.

In the coming months, we’ll take further steps, including starting the setup
progress of our own solar panel park to power our operations with renewable
energy and expanding our recycling partnerships to create more efficient,
closed-loop solutions. These initiatives are not just future goals—they are part
of our ongoing journey towards responsible manufacturing.

As we prepare for 2025, we’re excited to share more with you, including the
future release of a second edition of our ESG report. Next years report will
provide transparent insights into our progress and areas for continued growth,
ensuring accountability and improvement.

equivalent certifications. This rigorous approach guarantees that our products

recycled into plastic granules, ready to be repurposed into new products,
further extending their sustainable impact.
