ABOUT US

The name EthOS is an abbreviation of 'Ethnographic Observation System’ and like
our name, our history is rooted in ethnography.

Ethnographer Siamack Salari pioneered the concept of mobile ethnography back in
2009 shortly after the release of the first iPhone.

EthOS was developed on the principle of empathy through ethnography. By giving
companies a direct lens into the everyday lives of their customers, they'll be
able to collect human insights that lead to more user-centered business
decisions. The result is a win-win scenario where businesses better understand
the needs of their users, and users have their needs met.

Over time, we've expanded EthOS's capabilities to make it a powerful tool for
generative research. Today, User Experience and Market Research teams around the
world use EthOS to discover problems and opportunities by observing how people
interact with their products as they go about their everyday lives.
