A UNIFIED, MODERNIZED RESEARCH SOLUTIONS PLATFORM

ELEVATING BOTH THE END USERS & ADMIN EXPERIENCE THROUGH OUR REBRANDING

We’re formally announcing the official rebranding of Research Solutions across
our entire Article Galaxy platform, including Article Galaxy References and the
Admin interface. This rebranding reflects our commitment to providing
researchers with a more seamless, modern, and professional experience.

The updates include a refreshed visual design, with a new color scheme,
modernized fonts, and a cohesive look across all products. These changes are not
just cosmetic; they align our platform with the new Research Solutions brand
identity, enhancing both the visual appeal and overall user experience.

 * Consistent, Modern Interface: The updated design ensures a unified and
   professional look across the platform, making it easier for researchers to
   navigate and use.
 * Enhanced Usability: Streamlined visual elements and intuitive design
   contribute to a smoother, more engaging user experience, helping researchers

 * Admin UI Refresh: The Client Admin interface now matches the updated
   branding, ensuring a cohesive experience for administrators managing research

NEW RESEARCH SOLUTIONS GET PDF BUTTON FOR THIRD-PARTY INBOUND LINKS

As an additional part of our rebranding, we’ve updated the Get PDF button used
by third-party partners and customers for document acquisition to align with our
new visual identity and fortify our visual presence.

The new button ensures a cohesive look across all partner and customer links to
Article Galaxy and helps researchers easily identify Article Galaxy when
acquiring documents on external platforms.




INTRODUCING SMART FOLDERS: ENHANCING EFFICIENCY FOR RESEARCHERS

STREAMLINE HOW RESEARCHERS ORGANIZE & MANAGE REFERENCES IN ARTICLE GALAXY
REFERENCES

Smart Folders are advanced, automated repositories that continuously save search
results from a company’s PDF Library in Article Galaxy References (AGR),
ensuring folders remain updated with relevant articles as new content is
acquired.

Key Benefits for Researchers:

 * Automated Updates: Smart Folders automatically gather relevant articles based
   on search terms, ensuring researchers always have the latest content without
   manual searching.
 * Advanced Search Tools: With the Query Builder and Enhanced Search Bar, users
   can easily refine search results within Smart Folders, enhancing research
   precision.
 * Custom Notifications: Researchers can opt for daily or weekly email
   notifications when new articles are added, keeping them informed
   effortlessly.
 * Collaboration & Flexibility: Smart Folders can be shared, renamed, or
   deleted, without impacting stored PDFs or metadata, giving researchers
   control over their organization.
 * Export Options: Users can export folder contents in multiple formats,
   including RIS, BibTeX, CSV, Excel, and PDF for seamless integration into
   their research workflows.

This release aligns AGR with researcher needs, enhancing organization, improving
reference management, and boosting overall user satisfaction.




ARTICLE GALAXY UPDATES

SIMPLIFYING OPEN ACCESS WITH ARTICLE-LEVEL RE-USE INSIGHTS

This release enhances the Article Galaxy Re-Use Rights to include article-level
Open Access re-use checks. Open access can be complex, and this feature helps
researchers easily identify which articles are open access and how they can be
re-used.

 * Clear Re-Use Information: Researchers can now quickly check re-use rights at
   the article level for open access content, simplifying compliance with
   licensing rules.
   
 * Hybrid OA Journal Support: The tool enables users to understand re-use rights
   for open access articles from hybrid OA journals, reducing confusion and
   saving time.

This feature is available to all users with the Re-Use Rights UI, adding more
value to Article Galaxy by enhancing research accessibility and compliance.

IMPROVED ADMIN WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY WITH NAVIGATIONAL LINKS TO ORDER DETAILS

Within your Article Galaxy account, navigational links from the Bounceback,
Token, and Office Hours Queues to the Order Details view. Admins can now quickly
access detailed order information, leading to quicker resolutions and better
service for researchers. Enhanced navigation reduces admin time spent managing
orders, improving overall efficiency and support.

This update supports more efficient order management, benefiting both admins and
researchers by ensuring smoother service.

DIRECT LINKS FROM EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS FOR FASTER QUEUE ACCESS

Email notifications now contain direct links that take admins directly to
specific orders in the Bounceback, Token, or Office Hours Queues.

This allows admins to easily navigate from email alerts to the relevant queue,
reducing administrative steps, speeding up issue resolution, and ensuring timely
support for their team.

SIMPLIFIED LOGIN NAVIGATION FOR SEAMLESS SWITCHING BETWEEN ADMIN & USER LOGINS

By including a link from the Admin Login/Logout pages to the User Login page,
admins can more easily switch between user and admin login pages, improving
navigation between portals. Faster transitions between roles help reduce
confusion and enhance the productivity our admin.

STREAMLINED PAYMENT PROCESS WITH ADDITION OF CREDIT CARD PAYMENT OPTION TO
INVOICES

We’ve added a credit card payment option through the EbizCharge portal to both
the monthly invoice emails and PDF invoices. Customers can now easily pay
invoices by credit card through a secure portal. The payment link is included in
both email and PDF invoices, allowing customers to choose their preferred method
and making invoice payments more flexible and convenient.

ENHANCED RESEARCH ACCESS THROUGH EXPANDED QUICK LINKS IN ARTICLE GALAXY USER
DASHBOARD

Article Galaxy has enhanced the Quick Links/User Dashboard by adding Clarivate
and Citeline resources, offering researchers more search tools directly from
their dashboard.

With Clarivate and Citeline now available, users have direct access to prominent
research databases, streamlining reference management and boosting productivity.

This update ensures researchers can easily access critical resources, making
essential tools more accessible within the platform.

IMPROVED USABILITY WITH EXPANDED LEFT PANE IN ARTICLE GALAXY REFERENCES

We have expanded the left menu pane within Article Galaxy References to provide
more workspace for managing large lists of folders and items, offering easier
access to folders.

This enhancement improves the user interface, especially for those working on
smaller screens like laptops, allowing researchers to efficiently navigate and
organize their references for a smoother workflow.

EFFICIENT DUPLICATE CITATION MANAGEMENT WITH A SINGLE CLICK

We’ve introduced a highly requested Delete All Duplicates In Folder feature.

The one-click deletion feature streamlines the process, significantly reducing
the time and effort required to manage large folders with multiple duplicates.
Additionally, a new modal informs users that if duplicates have annotations, the
most recent version will be retained, ensuring important notes are not lost.

By simplifying duplicate management, this update enhances overall user
satisfaction and productivity, enabling researchers to focus on their work
rather than tedious tasks.

Note: Users can still choose to keep specific duplicate records individually, as
part of our Article Galaxy Professional feature set.

INCREASED CONTROL & FLEXIBILITY VIA SELECTIVE EXPORT FOR ARTICLE GALAXY
REFERENCES FOLDER ITEMS

Easily export only the references you need, streamlining the process and saving
time.

Researchers can now select and export specific items from their folders, rather
than exporting the entire folder. This Selective Export option allows
researchers to manage their reference collections more effectively, increasing
productivity. Choose from formats like RIS, BIB, RTF, Excel, CSV, or PDF,
ensuring compatibility with your preferred tools.

UP-TO-DATE RSS FEEDS NOTIFICATION ALERTS TO STAY INFORMED

Never miss an important update.

Users can now receive email alerts for new items within RSS feeds, allowing for
up-to-date notifications of new content. Easily configure notifications for
individual feeds for greater control over which updates are received.

ENRICHED SEARCH FUNCTIONALITY WITH DATE ADDED SEARCH PARAMETER

We’ve introduced the "Date Added" search option across key areas of the Article
Galaxy References platform, giving researchers more precise, flexible search
capabilities and making it easier to find the most relevant references.

Researchers can now filter results based on when references were added, offering
more control and relevance in their searches. Available in multiple
areas—Company PDF Library, Orders, Personal and Shared Folders—this feature
ensures more targeted results across the platform.

Additionally, a calendar selector simplifies choosing specific date ranges,
speeding up the process of finding relevant documents.

UPGRADED VISIBILITY & EFFICIENCY VIA VISUAL INDICATORS FOR TAGS, NOTES, & CUSTOM
FIELDS

Visual indicators in the grid view of Article Galaxy References show, at a
glance, which citations have Tags, Notes, or Custom Fields.

The new indicators offer a more intuitive, user-friendly experience, making key
details easily accessible and manage large reference sets more efficiently.

AUGMENTED ANNOTATION BY ADDING NOTES DIRECTLY IN PDF VIEWER

Save time and effort by adding notes while reading PDFs without switching to the
Citation Details page. Notes can be added while reading PDFs without switching
to the Citation Details page, saving time and effort. Notes are automatically
saved and synced with the Article Details section, ensuring consistency and
allowing researchers to better organize reference materials.

QUICK FOLDER INSIGHTS WITH HOVER-TO-VIEW FOLDER DESCRIPTIONS

Folders now feature hover-to-view descriptions for instant identification of a
folder's content without the need to open it, expediting navigation and
organization. To utilize this feature, a description box is now included when
creating folders, so users can easily label and organize.

NEW TAG CREATION DIRECTLY FROM GRID’S RIGHT-CLICK MENU

Users can create new tags directly from the right-click menu while selecting
multiple items in the grid. This feature allows for on-the-spot tag creation and
application without leaving the grid.

No need to pre-create tags—this feature allows for more flexible and
user-friendly organization and more flexibility in managing multiple items
quickly.
