DESCRIPTION

Empathy is the core to being human and connecting with others. Without empathy
you can’t truly understand what it’s like to be in someone else’s position. As
we all change and adapt to our growing world of awareness, empathy takes a front
row seat in whatever role you’re in. This course covers the key elements of
empathy, why it's important, and how to integrate core empathy elements in your
personal and professional life. In this course, we’ll take time to deep dive
into four key things around empathy:

 * understanding what it is and how it works

 * the different types of empathy and when to use them

 * empathetic listening, and

 * how to make some space and develop self awareness

Along the way, each section has examples and exercises to help you understand
and apply your learnings along the way. Please keep in mind that empathy is hard
and it takes practice and dedication to continuously improve and grow - we all
take time to understand, practice and develop over time. I look forward to
working through this course with you and providing personal examples that have
helped me on my way to understanding and practicing empathy both personally and
professionally. I look forward to our journey together.

its a good match because i now realize the difference between sympathy and
empathy. empathy is a challenge but one has to practice doing it until you get
to the level expected. being empathy means being there for someone and extend
your hand on how you can help . i have realized that i have been practing
empathy and should start practicing it going forward with colleagues and the
people i leave with.

Really good course! Lot's of great examples of common scenarios and relatable
situations. Great information that I really think will help pertain to not only
my job and dealing with appraisers but in everyday situations.

This is a great reminder of how empathy is a valuable asset in ones way of
being. Exercise it continuously and reap the benefits. I like how practical it
is. How empathy in everyday professional experiences can be performed. More
often it is practiced in personal relationships, not professional. I like how
she frames it in the professional setting. Very insightful and well thought out;
So clear and concise this course is.

Really good distinction between types of empathy as well as the nuanced
differences between empathy & "sympathy." Overall, the material thus far has
kept me fully engaged.

overall well-structured course. great effrot!

However one piece of feedback, it seemed a bit monotonous in the way the course
was delivered, maybe the instructor could have used different spaces/background
rather than one space and the same angles

Conceptos simples y muy interesantes. Sería de valor que se agregara la opción

Too much theoretical. I would welcome more examples from everyday working life
and some more advice with options on how to react.
