back at a Massage Envy franchised location. Massage Envy has engaged outside
experts – leaders in their field – to review the Massage Envy brand standards
targeted at sanitation and infection prevention and control.


BELOW ARE THE BRAND STANDARDS, WHICH MASSAGE ENVY FRANCHISED LOCATIONS ARE
REQUIRED TO FOLLOW TO HELP PROTECT THE WELLBEING OF EVERY MEMBER, GUEST, AND
EMPLOYEE.

Please contact your Massage Envy franchised location for information about their
mask requirements and other protocols they may have in place related to the
prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

BETWEEN EVERY SESSION AND SERVICE, MASSAGE ENVY FRANCHISED LOCATIONS ARE
REQUIRED TO:

Remove & replace all sheets. Clean replacements are stored in closed cabinetry.

Disinfect all surfaces that may have been touched or handled during the service
with products registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for Use
Against Emerging Enveloped Viral Pathogens.

 

All equipment and tools that may have been used in the service are disinfected
per the manufacturer’s instructions.

MASSAGE ENVY FRANCHISED LOCATIONS MUST ALSO:

Require all employees to practice good hand hygiene, including regularly washing
their hands with warm water for at least 20 seconds, including before and after
touching members or guests.

 

Ensure that 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer is available in all treatment rooms
and other key locations for use by all employees, members or guests.

Change air pads and filters regularly according to manufacturer’s directions.

Closely monitor the CDC’s designated safety watch and warning levels and
implement additional measures as appropriate.

OUR SAFETY COLLABORATION WITH CTEH®

Massage Envy recently worked with industry leader CTEH to conduct a deep,
holistic review of the Massage Envy brand standards targeted at sanitation and
infection prevention and control. CTEH is a scientific consulting firm that
specializes in environmental health and provides advice based on reliable
science to safeguard individuals and communities.

Through that collaboration, we have further strengthened key policies (which all
Massage Envy franchisees are required to follow). Among those updated policies
are mandatory cleaning and disinfection protocols (including for treatment rooms
and equipment used in services), proper hand hygiene protocols, and requirements
related to the use of personal protective equipment. Additionally, Massage Envy
franchisees must now require each of their employees to complete additional
health specific training before allowing them to return to work. And, as always,
all Massage Envy franchisees must comply with all federal, state, and local laws
and orders, including those relating to the reopening of their Massage Envy
franchise location.

outside experts – leaders in their field – to review the Massage Envy® brand
standards relating to infection prevention and control. Through that
