WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE GARDEN?

Here's a few ideas:

 * Science - Plant something and watch it grow.

 * Science - Perform a science experiment about weather conditions, plant life,
   insects in soil, composting, etc.
 * Reading - Read non-fiction articles about gardening

 * Math - use the back of a seed packet to plot out garden planting for optimal
   growth
 * Algebra - calculate rate of growth based on observation of different kinds of
   plants
 * EBs - immerse in vocabulary engaging senses, spark conversations about what
   they see in the garden.
 * Music - Play or sing in the garden and listen to the difference in acoustics,
experiment to see if it has any effect on the plants
 * Art - Take your sketch pad and practice observational drawing with living
   things
 * Math - See multiplication in action as you watch seeds multiply their yield
 * Social Studies - Create an indigenous garden plot

across Texas or the US. How did this affect the movement and migration of
   people groups?

   see
