Philadelphia Inquirer: Miller Theater on Broad Street Is Getting a $30 Million
Makeover

November 2022 — “We want Philadelphia to have a theater that’s equal to any in
the country,” said Alan B. Miller, 85, a founding member of the Kimmel Center
board, in a recent interview. “I’ve gone to the theater many times. I grew up in
New York. And we want this theater to be on that level.”

Becker's: A Look at UHS' New 'Multipronged Approach' to Treating Veterans'
Mental Health

November 2022 — Although veterans have a 57 percent higher risk of suicide
compared to those who have not served in the military, fewer than 50 percent of
returning veterans have access to necessary mental health treatment, according
to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Matt Peterson, president of Universal
Health Services' behavioral health division, shared with Becker's what steps the
health group is taking to address this issue.

November 2022 — UHS appears on Becker’s summary of largest healthcare companies
by revenue. Among the top 20 companies, 15 are from the U.S. These are the 20

Universal Health Services’ Executive Vice President Matt Peterson Promoted to
Brigadier General for Air National Guard, U.S. Air Force

November 1, 2022 — UHS announced today that Matt Peterson, Executive Vice
President and President, Behavioral Health Division, has been promoted to
Brigadier General, Air National Guard (ANG), U.S. Air Force. The official
pinning ceremony was held in Minnesota in October.

UHS ACOs Saved Medicare $82.2 million in 2021

October 18, 2022 — Prominence Health Plan, a subsidiary of Universal Health
Services, announces its 2021 Accountable Care Organization (ACO) results with
more than $82 million in savings to Medicare and more than $56 million in
earnings for its 3,000 participating physicians.

Altru and Universal Health Services Sign Letter of Intent to Expand Inpatient

June 14, 2022 — Altru Health System and UHS have signed a letter of intent to
work together in expanding inpatient behavioral health services. The two
entities are exploring opportunities for an inpatient behavioral health facility
in Grand Forks, ND.

UHS and Trinity Health Joint-Venture Partnership Announces Name of New
Behavioral Health Hospital

June 9, 2022 — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued a
Final Order granting Havenwyck Hospital, Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Health
Services, certificate of need approval for 60 adult psychiatric beds, allowing
UHS and Trinity Health Michigan, in a joint venture, to open a new freestanding
inpatient behavioral health hospital in Byron Center.
