The city of Britain and the hard-working civilians within serve as reminders of
Human resilience, diversity and spirit. Although their former ruler Lord British
has fallen in the battle of the long night, Humans continue to prosper, standing
equal with the rest of the world that threatens their very existence. In the
battle of the long night, Humanity’s long and tragic history lead other races to
think of them as a dying race that belongs to another age, but humans knew
otherwise, defeating the evil races and pushing them back to there homelands.
Lord British fell leading the cavalry in battle. His fall sparked anger and the
human spirit echoed through the battle field. Even the youngest Humans know
about the great human figures of the battle and the time has come for a new hero
to walk in their footsteps.

Humans are known for their warrior spirit, exceptional blacksmithing work and
advanced trade technique. Humans have an increased carrying capacity above what
is determined by their strength and have a better chance at finding more
resources while gathering hides, ores or lumber.

Dryad

The majestic Dryads dwell within the vast expanse of mountains, valleys, and
ravines, serving as the guardians of these sacred lands. They possess an
unparalleled connection with the spirits, being the sole beings who heed their
beckoning. Endowed with remarkable intellect, the Dryads possess boundless
wisdom regarding the secrets of nature. Their mastery in the arts of bowcraft,
archery, and musicianship is renowned throughout the realm, earning them a
legendary status. When engaged in battle, their agility knows no bounds, swiftly
and relentlessly overpowering adversaries with remarkable ease.

Varkolak

Once ruling over a large portion of the lands of Britannia and kneeling to the
six gods of darkness, the Varkolak have cast aside religion when they fell to
the Humans in the battle of the long night. Victory is the only option is the
principle the Varkolak race standby and when there people were cut down by the
very Humans that hunted them for centuries, they felt the gods had turned their
backs on their people.

Their strict military culture ensured the remaining Varkolak had a place in the
world but were forced to live in the darkness of the Britainnia underground
tunnels where they continue to rebuild. Although the Varkolak once again control
their ancestral homeland of Buccaneers Den, their grip is not as tight as they
would like. The battle of the long night was centuries ago but the Humans
continue to wage war on the Varkolak as the ghosts of what may have been loom
over Britainnia.

Varkolak are known for there military culture, dark magery practices and there
ability to survive at all means. Varkolak have the ability to fly using there
powerful wings at a speed equal to being horse mounted and increased meditation
ability.

Nostria

Nostria

It all begins in Nostria, one of the continents of Antara. For an entire epoch,
it stood as a united Kingdom of people who called themselves the Nostrians. But
nowadays, the Kingdom is experiencing troubled times. Counties are demanding
independence, bandits prowl the roads, and all the overseas nations have denied
the King’s authority over them. It is difficult to believe there was a time when
the symbol of the Nostrian crown meant dominion over the entire world. It is not
too late for it to regain its former greatness, but it will require the kind of
commitment and will that the present king lost many years ago.

Hail Community! Welcome to the latest development updates for Alterworld Online,
the Ultima Online free-shard that aims to provide a unique and thrilling new
gameplay experience for all old school Ultima Online players. As our community
continues to grow, we are committed to refining and expanding the game to bring
you the most immersive world possible. We will continue to provide regular
updates on progress made while we work towards our beta and official opening
dates. In this update, we will be sharing the newest features, improvements, and
events that our team has been diligently working on. [b]Alterworld Launcher[/b]
Finalize design and implementation of the Alterworld Launcher, allowing players
to easily update files as they are released without having to download new files
and pasting them manually. [b]Points System[/b] Finalize implementation of the
reward points systems and associated stores across Bounty Hunting, PvP and
Prestige, with unique items (clothing, mounts, attributes, PVM enhancements and
more) that can be purchased and/or traded in the market using points obtained
through hunting, events, PvP and player race xp / levelling. [b]Alterworld Event
System[/b] Working on implementing Alterworld's 'City Rebellion', A faction
based PvP / Team event, where players work in teams to capture and control
points across the major Alterworld cities. [b]Fighting pits[/b] Final
adjustments to the fighting pits, providing players the option to challenge
other players in either the custom Alterworld sphere pvp system (more aligned to
51a sphere) or 55i sphere style pvp. This is to stay in line with our goal to
cater to all old school sphere enthusiasts [b]Despise Sewers, Dungeon accessible
via Prestige[/b] Completion of a new custom dungeon, only accessible to players
who have purchased entrance keys via prestige reward points. The dungeon will
have unique monsters and increased chance to find rare monster drops.
[b]Alterworld Side-Quests Systems[/b] Finalize day-to-day gameplay quests for
Alterworld Online players, including Autolycus (an AI thief who steals from AFK
players, whereby players need to sneak into his house to steal items back) and
Orc jail (a jail you may find yourself stuck in if you adventure into the
wilderness and will need to find a way out) and more! [b]Alterworld Casino[/b]
Implementation of Casino gameplay (e.g. Texas Holdem and Slot machines) to allow
players the option to gamble with gold. We look forward to continuing to provide
updates as we progress and would value feedback/suggestions and recommendations
