Individual Consultation for Therapists

I have finally found my niche after working in nonprofits for 10 years and
private practice for the past 5 years.

My specialties include depression, anxiety, and trauma on the entire spectrum.

Specifically, developmental trauma and dissociation.

I have found that trauma often is the culprit for the symptoms our clients
present with.

Having this trauma perspective is important because it informs the way you
obtain assessment information, and the way you treat suicidality, obsessions,
fears, addictions, and the list is endless.

I once met  Dr. Janina Fisher, author of Healing the Fragmented Selves of Trauma
Survivors, and learned that she rarely hospitalized her clients.

At the time I was working with acute depression and was fearful of suicidality;
however, through important contributions from Dr. Fisher and others, I have
learned to use a parts approach when assessing suicidality.

There are so many nuggets that I can offer, including addressing
countertransference as a clinician. 

Invest in yourself, invest in your practice, and reach out for consultation and
ongoing advanced learnings. 

Our field can be intimidating, as neuroscience continues to inform clinical
practice. You are not alone. There are seasoned therapists like myself that can
get you to where you want to be professionally, faster and more smoothly.

I believe it takes strength to be vulnerable and open to change.  Finding a
therapist  can feel overwhelming.  It is so important to find the right match of
personalities and education.  Someone who understands what you have experienced
in your life or has the strength to listen without judgement and to walk by your
side during this new journey of growth.
