A.

artistic values, and other similar activities.

5.

The commission shall identify groups and organizations that enrich Cranston life
by bringing cultural and artistic values and artifacts to the city.

The commission shall have the authority and power to solicit funds or grants
from individuals, corporations and other government agencies.

The Cranston City Council is comprised of six wards and three city-wide
councilmembers. The current council was elected on November 8, 2022, took office
on January 2, 2023, and their terms expire on January 6, 2025. To find your

The Cranston City Council meets on the 4th Monday of every month. When it falls
on a holiday, the Council may meet on Tuesday. Note that in December, the
regular meeting is held on the third Monday. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. in
Council Chambers, which is located on the 3rd Floor of City Hall. All meetings
are open to the public with two opportunities for public speaking: one on
matters listed on the Docket, and the other is an open session in which the
public can speak on any matter.

A. All appraisals done for or on behalf of the tax assessment board of review of
the city, shall be completed in accordance with Section 3.08.040 of the code. B.
The tax assessment board of review shall be comprised of three members and two
alternates. C. The tax assessment board of review members are to be paid three
thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per year, and alternates shall be paid fifty
dollars ($50.00) per meeting not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000.00)
per year when sitting as a member: 1.A meeting is conducted in accordance with
the open meetings statutes of Rhode Island state law and other applicable
statutes. 2.Minutes shall be kept of each meeting including the reasons for
denial or approval of each appeal. 3.No person shall serve more than six
consecutive years on the tax assessment board of review.
