DR. CRAIG MANIFOLD EMS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

DR. MANIFOLD WAS A TRUE LEADER IN THE EMS COMMUNITY AND A KEY ROLE PLAYER IN
BRINGING THE @GATHERINGOFEAG1ES AND @1STTHERE1STCARE TOGETHER. 

DR. MANIFOLD SPENT HIS ENTIRE PROFESSIONAL CAREER FOCUSED ON ENHANCING EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS), FROM TRAINING EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS TO SHARING
HIS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE OF EMERGENCY AND DISASTER MEDICINE ON THE
INTERNATIONAL STAGE. 

DR. MANIFOLD KNEW WITH FOCUSED EDUCATION AND TRAINING, EMS PERSONNEL COULD SAVE
MORE LIVES.   THIS SCHOLARSHIP WILL SUPPORT HIGH SCHOOL EMS EDUCATION AND ASSIST
WITH COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH COMPLETING AN EMT PROGRAM BY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.

CONFERENCE AND GATHERING EAGLES COMMITTEE HAS ELECTED TO POSTPONE THE PHYSICAL
CONFERENCE PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 8-12, 2020.

CURRENTLY REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS, EXHIBITORS AND SPONSORS WILL BE CONTACTED
DIRECTLY BY EMAIL WITH FURTHER INFORMATION RELATED TO REGISTRATION.

WHILE WE ARE DISAPPOINTED TO NOT HOLD THIS CONFERENCE IN 2020, PUBLIC HEALTH
MUST COME FIRST. WE ESPECIALLY HOPE THAT OUR PARTICIPANTS AND COLLEAGUES IN THE
MEDICAL COMMUNITY WHO ARE WORKING TO CONTAIN AND TREAT THE VIRUS WILL REMAIN

The Fire Chiefs’ Association of Broward County, Florida and the Broward Regional
EMS Council welcome you to the First There First Care – Gathering of Eagles  EMS
Conference, as well as the Chief Mike Haygood Broward Invitational ALS, and the
K2 Nursing Competition.

This is South Florida’s premier EMS conference reaching  emergency medical
technicians, paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
from South Florida and beyond! This year’s theme “A 2020 Vision of EMS” will
explore topics in “Technology and the Future” for the EMS Providers and
Emergency Department personnel. This year The First There First Care Conference
will continue with the Gathering of Eagles, a consortium of cutting edge EMS
Medical Directors that will present their usual didactic and learning magic with
over 100 envelope-pushing sessions from across the globe.

Each year our emergency medical service personnel and emergency nurses face new
and more challenging situations. Recent events such as mass shootings and the
complex technical rescues of entrapped victims remind us that our skills must
remain sharp and focused.

For the past two decades The First There First Care team has brought the latest
trends and techniques to both pre-hospital EMS and emergency department nurses.

last year the conference hosted over 700 attendees with CEU’s awarded for the
mini sessions and conference attendees. We commend each and every one of you for
taking this opportunity to advance your training, education, and networking.
