FONTAGENT PRO ITEM CANT BE MODIFIED

2/11/2023

Any updates to this type of manager could add features like checking validity,
licenses, or duplcation of fonts, acknowledge new formats like OT, and even
resolve conflicts. To my mind, the paradigm of ATM and Suitcase is very worthy
of maintenance: Put fonts in a logical place, like the job folder, or a
temporary fonts folder, then use the Font Manager to activate or de-activate
them, leaving them untouched. Still, it’s not enough to make me switch to a
hoarding-style manager. I’ve only encountered one “bug” relating to font formats
or conditions that prevent activation. Given these options, I’ve been very happy
with Suitcase’s continued ability to reveal information without destroying data
or my sanity. Putting fonts in the right folder in System 10 is like being in an
alternate universe where ATM, Suitcase and everything else had never been
invented. The reason is that I’m a font developer, and testing fonts a few times
in the course of designing is a necessity. Does this new version of FontAgent
move, copy, or otherwise actively change locations of fonts? I realize for
shared situations like agencies, the server paradigm might seem a godsend, but I
have to say, as a person who uses a few new fonts at a time, sometimes for a
total of minutes, and then either THROWS THEM AWAY (gasp) or relegates them to a
storage tank, I do NOT want the font manager to duplicate, shuffle, hide or
otherwise act on my font data. If nothing else, its hurried release shows how
urgent the OS X font crisis is. It may be the most unfinished piece of software
Apple has spewed since OS X’s first versions. Hopefully the strong new features
in FAP 2 will be a wake up call for Extensis and Alsoft.Īpple’s fledgling Font
Book, by the way, is barely worthy of mention. While the other guys flail about
with competition buyouts and slow, disappointing updates, Insider actually seems
to care about making a decent font manager. Unfortunately, my experience with
this feature was buggy &#8212 most of the fonts get cut off at the
bottom.įontAgent Pro still lacks the solid UI of the now defunct ATM Deluxe and
some irritating bugs need attention, but it remains the best thing we’ve got for
OS X. New preview pane samples several fonts at once as line showings. Plug-ins
for Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, and Photoshop CS join the existing
auto-activators for their previous versions and Quark 6. UPDATE: This feature is
part of a new product called FontAgent Pro Workgroup Edition I have yet to try
this, but I will very soon and report here. FAP uses Rendezvous to allow you to
share fonts with no configuration. Unable to copy, move, or modify an object.
For example: make a set for a client and various sets within for each of that
client’s projects. If you cannot start up your Mac from a data recovery utility
disc. Now powered by an industrial-strength SQL database, the developers claim
FAP is better at handling large font collections.

UPDATE, JAN 13: The new features are now listed at Insider Software’s site.
Enhancements to the most capable font manager for OS X include: Insider Software
released FontAgent Pro 2.0 this week. Written by Stephen Coles

ANNA POSTERINO PHOTOGRAPHY

You can find Anna Försterling on the Web:Īll the pictures in this post are
copyrighted Anna Försterling. Thanks again for providing 121 Clicks with this
opportunity to interview you. Furthermore, I like drawing as well as playing
with my cat. So, unfortunately, I can’t give any recommendations.Īpart from
photography, tell me about your hobbies and interests?Ĭurrently, I try to brush
up my skills of playing the piano. I am not the kind of person that reads a lot.
All in all, love is a feeling you can’t have influences in but it still makes
you feel great and also alive. But the other way round also spending time with
family and friends. It’s like feeling free and proud of yourself. One
achievement I am really glad of is my successful graduation to a photographer.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?

It might sound strange and cheesy but it’s my boyfriend. Maybe you’re wondering
why, but I like doing without any forces. I have to disappoint you – I have no
mantras. I admire his meaningful pictures that are always masterful and
fabulous. Recently I bought the book “A Different Vision on Fashion Photography”
of Peter Lindbergh. For example, I really like Hannes Caspar, Jan Scholz, and
Ryan Muirhead. Because I shoot on film, I often use Kodak and Fuji films. I
really got used to these techniques and it fixed to my style of photographing.

It’s incredible taking photos with this camera because it’s convenient and
easy-going. Afterward I almost exclusive use the medium format camera Pentax 67.
I use the 35mm camera first to get into the shooting. Also completely new ideas
can arise.Ī medium format camera and a 35mm camera are my gear. Because having
enough inspiration makes me motivated as much as feeling confident in my doing.
There are always small things that delight me help to keep focused on my goals.
I also get a lot of inspiration walking through the environment. I view a lot of
pictures and figure out the intention of the artist’s picture. How do you keep
yourself motivated and your photography fresh? Of course, I try to capture that
special and unique moment when I characterize people in front of the camera.
Because it depends on peoples own feeling and emotionality seeing the picture.
There is a soulful feel in your portraits, how do you achieve them? I want my
pictures to be sovereign and out of trends, mainstream, and conventions. Another
point of my view is the timelessness. And the primary feature of a portrait is
the human presence. I try to act my pictures as natural as possible. How would
you describe your photographic vision? What kind of feel do you try and create
in your photos? In my education, I devoted myself more and more to portrait
photography and until today I have fallen for her. Photography became an
important part of my life and so I decided to complete a three-year training. So
I bought my first really good macro lens and lay down in meadows, fields, and
forests to scan every tiny animal. I quickly realized that I did not get far
with an 18-55mm lens. Then my mother gave me her old SLR camera with the
standard lens and I began to photograph animals, plants, and landscapes. At that
time, I completed a one-year school internship with a Dresden photographer and
he first showed me how to handle a camera. Somehow I always had a camera, but it
was only 6 years ago that I really started to take conscious photography. What
first drew you to photography and how did you discover it? Hi, my name is Anna
and I’m a portrait photographer from Dresden, Germany. I want my pictures to be
sovereign and out of trends, mainstream, and conventions.”

In her words “I try to act my pictures as natural as possible. Anna Försterling

SOULSTICE DAY SPA PRICE LIST

I then couldn't remember my password I had put on my locker in the changing
room, so I had to ask for assistance and was still treated badly as I could see
the lady was getting irritated and annoyed, she looked at me as if i was stupid.
So immediately after we went to get changed. This made me feel very embarrassed
and unwelcome. We then stayed a little while after the massages to enjoy their
facilities, about 30 min in, a very unfriendly lady from reception came to ask
for our booking name and waited for a long pause in front of us, which made us
feel as if she was trying to edge us to leave and as if we were staying there
for too long and taking up their space for other bookings. The treatment was
relaxing and the lady giving the massage was friendly but booking together as a
couple we thought we would have our massages together, we were instead put in 2
separate rooms, which was a bit disappointing. Walking in was not a friendly
welcome, as the front desk employees would not even smile at you nor look at you
while booking in. The service here is disgusting and would definitely not
recommend spending your time and money here!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE, left us feeling
UNWELCOME and UNWANTED.

I was told the refund payment will be done on the 27th Aug in the morning but
the sun has set and I am still waiting, no communication whatsoever from the
spa. So it was close to knock of time and we could see the environment changing,
therapists were rushing to knock off then we figured it's not a good time to
have our massage so we requested a refund for our Soy Candle Massage. So we made
an effort to come early but late comers were prioritized over us. When we asked
why, she said because there were people who came late and are now occupying the
room we were supposed to have our Soy Candle Massage, but how was that our
problem? We waited 20 minutes full for the Soy Candle Massage, and finally when
the therapist came she took us to a room with one bed but we were two, so she
explained that we going to be treated in different rooms. And after we were
done, same story, no one came to say let's go to your next session!!! Then we
were taken to the Rasul Chamber after complaining that no one is looking after
us. Although the Floating Therapy and Rasul Chamber were quite nice, after
Floating Therapy we had to go to reception constantly to request of our next
session, basically no one was looking after us. Unfortunately the service was
super bad when we begin with those. There are no signs with a cellphone policy -
one guest was loudly on her phone in the relaxation area for at least 10
minutes. We booked the option with Floating Therapy and Rasul Chamber and Soy
Candle Massage. The bad: The massage room is not well insulated so you could
hear the staff downstairs laughing and talking (this was a HUGE turn off for
me). I completed a consultation form but was asked the same questions before my
massage - maybe an opportunity to discuss my routine/skin etc more and then talk
about upselling. I understand the upsell concept but if I'm spending the money I
spent here I think they should find a more subtle way - NOT at the end of my
massage. Massage was good but the pressure inconsistent. The not-so-good: The
place needs some maintenance - the outside heated pool had some leaves and dirt
at the bottom, tiles falling down in the floatation room, moldy smell in the
Rasul chamber and limited food options (only Colcaccio's). Food was delicious
and it's nice to be able to enjoy a drink in any of the pools. Bonnie was super
helpful (as were all the staff), and helped to squeeze in an additional booking
for the floatation pool. The good: Nice facilities, indoor + outdoor heated
pools, great location (right up against a hill), full offering including mani +
pedi. All items used are available to purchase. WHAT A DAY! Very helpful helpful
staff and one fantastic experience.

When all your treatments are over you can float in the warm pool on flooting
benches, have lunch if ordered or get dressed. Then you take a lovely shower and
the oiling massage begins. If you are like me I fall asleep while being
massaged, pampered etc. Various packages are offered for your day and the fun
begins. When you are relaxed and calm you are taken to dimmed room, romantically
infused with soft calming music.

Fresh iced various flavors of water, tea, coffee always available. My belongings
were put in a safe locked numerically by myself. My day at Soulstice Spa at
Silverstar just out of Krugersdorp! I was introduced to all staff that were
currently available and given a package which in included a tie up gown and
slippers.

FLDIGI WEATHER STATION CODES

2/11/2023

The problem with this is that it can blow your sound card, if things go awry.
Then gqrx is told to send the signal to the lineout, and dl-fldigi is told to
listen to the linein. One way to do this is to physically connect an audio cable
from the lineout of the computer to the linein of the same computer. The final
step was to connect these two pieces of software. Next, I downloaded dl-fldigi,
the software to decode the beeps and boops and turn them into telemetry data. It
didn’t sound like much, just some digital beeps and boops, but it was still
really exciting. This was working fine and I was able to tune into the signal
and listen to it. So for the tuning software I was using gqrx, which allows you
to input the frequency you want to listen to. I was originally trying to set all
of this up on Linux, since the computer we set aside for the ground control
station already had Linux on it. Since I was using an SDR, I needed a piece of
software to tune the radio. The HackRF One is a software defined radio (SDR),
meaning that it plugs into your computer and is tuned by the computer, rather
than physical knobs and different circuits within the radio. I was using the
HackRF One for my receiving radio. I followed this guide, also on the Pi in the
Sky website, to complete this task. Once the software was set up, it had to be
configured.

The guide for the software setup can be found here. The Pi in the Sky website
offers a good tutorial for the setup of the system, going all the way from a
blank SD card to a fully set up system. Once I had the hardware in hand and I
could legally use it, I had to set it up.

We were able to plug the Pi in the Sky board directly into a Raspberry Pi, and
this took care of most of the electronics needed for the project. There are many
different configurations available for the electronics in the payload of the
HAB, but we opted for the Pi in the Sky for its simplicity. The Pi in the Sky
takes GPS, altitude, and temperature data and stitches this into a serial stream
which can be transmitted to radios listening for this data stream. We opted for
the Pi in the Sky system, which integrates all the electronic aspects into one
board.

Once I could legally transmit the location of the payload, I had to set up the
system to do just that. Luckily, we both passed the Technician test, allowing us
to start our balloon adventures! So Bill and I drove the hour and a half down to
Concord, NH to take the test. This would be needed to set up the payload so it
can transmit its location and status using radio waves, and the license is just
a useful thing to have. The first step of the process was taking the test to get
my HAM radio license. I was not able to launch a balloon back when I first
became interested in HAB in my sophomore year of high school, but working at
WMSI this summer I was able to get another crack at it. This blog will document
the process WMSI took in building a HAB payload which can be recovered after
reaching 100,000 feet. The challenge of engineering something which can be sent
to 100,000 feet and then recovered when it drops back down to Earth is also
alluring. Really interesting data can be collected and experiments can be done
at the high altitudes that these weather balloons reach.

There is so much more to high altitude ballooning than just the awesome pictures
though. Some breathtaking photos are being taken by amateurs, which look like
they could have been taken during a NASA mission. It was originally amazing
pictures from near space that got me interested in high altitude ballooning
(HAB).

THE NIGHTINGALE NOVEL

You’ll beat it again.” She responds by observing, “Americans can be so naïve,”
illustrating that she has lived through traumas, of which her son is unaware.
Spanning the years of the war, this riveting story follows two sisters, Vianne

by Kristin Hannah is a historical fiction, set in German-occupied France during
WWII. Book Review: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Her son, a doctor, tries
to believe that her cancer won’t be fatal, saying, “You’ve beaten it twice

an obvious contrast between the elderly woman’s resigned mourning and her son’s
optimism. The tone of this first chapter is wistful and sorrowful, implying that
the story that follows will be a tragic one. (Chapter 39 reveals for certain
that she is Vianne.) At that time we don’t know what her role was in World War
II, but figure it was highly traumatic. With the introduction of the novel’s two
heroines, Vianne and Isabelle, in the following chapters, the elderly woman’s
identity as one of the two becomes clear. Martin’s Press) begins with a
backstory of an elderly woman in Oregon planning to return to France. Set more
than fifty years after most of the novel’s action takes place, Chapter 1 gives
an ambiguous glimpse into how the story will ultimately conclude. Julien, her
son, asks who Juliette Gervaise is, and the question sparks her memories of the
past. She calls it her “last request”-she seems to be dying of cancer. She tells
him that she wants to take the trunk with her when she moves. The woman’s son
finds her crying in the attic.

In her attic, she finds a trunk full of war memorabilia, including an identity
card for someone named Juliette Gervaise. She is in the middle of packing,
preparing to move to a retirement community at her son’s request. In 1995, an
unnamed elderly woman in Oregon remembers the loved ones she lost during World
War II.

RIDERS REPUBLIC

2/11/2023

The dialogue reads like it has been written by a well-meaning staff who have
fond memories of watching the X-Games, but haven't interacted with actual human
extreme sports enthusiasts since the summer of '95. Brett, the founder of the
Republic, who is clearly trapped on the wrong side of a mid-life crisis, is a
particular annoyance – one Buscemi-short of being the absolute embodiment of the
'How do you do, fellow kids?' meme. Because events and opportunities are opening
across the map constantly, a handful of voiced NPCs are in near-constant
communication with banter that borders on the inane. If there's a downside to a
world as open as this, it's that Ubisoft Annecy saw the need to narrate so much
of it. As you push toward the end-game – reaching the Riders Invitational and
unlocking the coolest clothes in the game that don't require microtransaction
purchases – you may have to reach outside your comfort zone to gather the
necessary stars but, then again, maybe you spare your patience and invest that
energy scouring the map collectibles and in completing Stunt challenge courses
for rewards instead. Each event also comes with side objectives – finish under a
certain time threshold, complete a number of tricks – which will net you
additional stars and XP upon completion, furthering the progression of your
career and the acquisition of better gear. Completing activities and
participating in multiplayer sessions rewards you with 'stars', which are used
to unlock new career tracks, progress your sponsorship deals, and give you
access to more prestigious (and ridiculous) invitational races. So that's what I
spent so much of my time enjoying in Riders Republic. I have a particular
affinity for the 'Snow Tricks' events, recalling memories of a wasted youth with
SSX Tricky, and the 'Bike Race' events, which feel absolutely phenomenal –
particularly when shifting the perspective from third to first while hurtling
down perilous pathways the sense of momentum is dizzying. Complete an event and
more will open across the map in that particular discipline, as will any
relevant gear that you'll need to continue thriving. If you find yourself
gravitating toward a particular style of play, you can just run with it and
Riders Republic will respond in kind by constantly delivering new streams of
content. Like Steep before it, there are no mandatory challenges or win
requirements gating your progress or holding you back from pursuing your
favorite activities. Of all the little decisions Ubisoft Annecy made to help
ensure that Riders Republic works as well as it does, it's the lack of linear
progression that helps elevate the experience. After a brief onboarding, you're
basically let loose. What we have here is a visually vibrant social playground
that pays tribute to three extreme sports scenes: Skiing and snowboarding,
mountain biking, and Wingsuit flying. If you played Steep, the 2016 snowboarding
game developed by Ubisoft Annecy, you'll likely be familiar with the
foundational design of the studio's latest release.

Riders Republic is unlike most (but not all) open-world games from Ubisoft.
Platform(s): PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X And if you can't find it, you
can create your own and share it with others. With an enormous open-ended world
in place, you're free to venture across this amalgamation of seven awe-inspiring
US National Parks and find your own fun. Should any of those activities sound
unappealing then you needn't worry, because Riders Republic rarely stops you
from doing what you want to do, where and when you want to do it. That all of
this activity is frequently soundtracked (opens in new tab)by a truly
ill-advised, soft ukulele cover of Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise is certainly
unfortunate, but it isn't a total deal-breaker. There's real joy to be had in
gunning a mountain bike down the perilous pathways of the Canyonlands National
Park, or in shredding the wicked steep slopes of the Grand Teton on a snowboard,
and to whipping over the Mammoth Mountain ranges while strapped into a
rocket-powered wingsuit to survey for collectibles. Its exhilarating events
escalate steadily from the ridiculous to the utterly outrageous. With every
passing hour, the playable space seems to get a little larger, the races a
little faster.

INSTALL CROSSOVER FOR MAC

2/11/2023

If you absolutely must run one of the applications on Crossover's Gold list it's
certainly much cheaper than the rather steep combo of a Windows licence and one
of the big two VM packages, but don't expect to rely on it for anything
system-critical. Its interface is equal parts ingenious and awkward. Heck, we
couldn't even get it to install IE7 without it falling over, and that was listed
in its small selection of supported apps.Ĭrossover is flaky. We hope CodeWeavers
is thankful to the open source advocates who put Wine together in the first
place.īut throughout running Crossover we were aware that we weren't getting the
full Windows experience. It's logically fantastic, and the OS agnostic ethos
behind it is flawless. We're not suggesting that Crossover's sharp emulation of
Windows' components isn't a remarkable achievement. Using the genuine software
will make us safer when running the software.

Whatever you might do with Crossover can be done just as well with something
else. CrossOver Mac is the easiest way to run Microsoft Windows software on your
Mac without buying a Windows license, rebooting, or using a virtual machine. The
specific steps of the installation tutorial of crossover Mac are as follows:
Step 1: first, we need to download the genuine crossover software on this site.
You might as well use a service like IE Netrender to test your pages, while
Flip4Mac is a much more elegant way to add WMV compatibility to OS X. Legacy
versions of Media Player are also supported, which is a cheeky way of playing
WMV video.īut alternatives to these things already exist. The application lets
you run Windows software anywhere you choose without purchasing a licence for
Windows or installing a Virtual Machine. CrossOver allows you to run Windows
Software on your Mac. Internet Explorer is there, for instance, which makes
testing web designs with the world's most popular browser relatively
straightforward. Code Weavers (Trial version) User rating. This number does
cover many of the applications that make it most useful. Press Command+Space and
type Terminal and press enter/return key.

There's a short list of programs – 700 or so – that CodeWeavers rates as Gold,
and even this designation merely signifies that the application mostly runs as
expected. App description: crossover (App: CrossOver.app) App website: Install
the App. The file size of the latest installer available is 243.3 MB. Our
built-in antivirus scanned this Mac download and rated it as 100 safe. CrossOver
for Mac belongs to System Tools. Crossover has had its detractors over the
years, and for good reason here we are at version 9, and it's only just catching
up with some of the more major Windows applications on the market. CrossOver
19.0 for Mac is available as a free download on our software library.
