 * It will reopen on Wednesday, December 13, resuming regular hours of Tuesday
   through Sunday: 1:00-5:00pm.

The Billy Ireland Museum Galleries will be closed for a planned exhibition
changeover beginning Monday, November 20 through Tuesday, December 12. The

NEW EXHIBIT! DEPICTING MEXICO AND MODERNISM: GORDO BY GUS ARRIOLA

December 1st, 2023

(Columbus, OH) – The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum presents Depicting
Mexico and Modernism, the first retrospective on the comic strip Gordo. On view
Dec. 13, 2023–May 5, 2024, the exhibit celebrates the dazzling artistry of
Mexican-American cartoonist Gustavo ‘Gus’ Arriola. The syndicated strip ran from
1941 to 1985 and featured Gordo Salazar Lopez, a bean farmer [Read More...]
