Women United
A dynamic membership of women who support the work of United Way to drive
positive change in our community.
Members contribute $500 or more annually to United Way of San Antonio and Bexar
County.

WOMEN IGNITING CHANGE

Members from diverse backgrounds and various life experiences unite in their
shared passion for community impact, service, and philanthropy. Through
educational opportunities, volunteer projects, leadership roles, and annual
events, Women United members work together to uplift individuals and families in
our community.

SIGNATURE CAUSE

Women United supports the impact work United Way is leading and their Signature
Cause, the United Way Child Care Scholarships. The United Way Child Care
Scholarships award funds to cover the majority of costs for quality child care
for parents pursuing a degree for the first time.

Each year, Women United hosts Power of the Purse, a purse auction benefitting
United Way Child Care Scholarships and empowering parents to balance work,
family and career goals to achieve economic mobility. In 2023, we collectively
raised more than $230,000 to support families in our community.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Women United membership provides opportunities to connect more deeply with the
people and programs that your investments support.

 * Social and signature events to meet like-minded women and scholarship
   recipients
 * Speaker series to inspire personal growth and a better understanding of our
   community
 * Service projects and volunteer leadership roles in building connections with
