Message from the Editor

Randy Garner, Ph.D. Editor, APCJ

Applied Psychology in Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary academic journal
that examines the intersection of psychology and criminal justice. APCJ is
published twice a year and is available in both print and electronic versions.
Our expedited review process allows for a thorough analysis by expert
peer-reviewers within a timeline that is much more favorable than many other
academic publications.  Further, once an article is accepted, the "time to
publication" is significantly less than other journals as a result of our focus
on electronic media.

APCJ welcomes submissions that explore the social and psychological aspects of
human behavior as related to applied societal and criminal justice settings.
Because APCJ takes a broad and inclusive view of the study of both psychology
and criminal justice, this publication outlet is suitable for a wide variety of
interests. Appropriate submissions could include general survey research,
attitudinal measures, research in which criminal justice practitioners are
participants, investigations into broad societal issues, or any number of
empirical approaches that fit within the general umbrella provided by the
journal.

Authors are invited to submit their work at any time throughout the year and
should carefully review the submission criteria and requirements. APCJ maintains
rigorous peer-reviewed standards. If you have a submission that you believe
meets our criteria, we encourage you to consider APCJ as an outlet for your
academic research.

If you have questions regarding this journal or submission requirements, please
feel free to review the Author Info sections of this web site or contact the
editor directly at editor@apcj.org
