I can't believe this is not only the last lately post of the year for me but
also my last blog post for the year! I'll still be working tomorrow, but no blog
post. I'll tie up loose ends and ensure everything is turned in! I am signing
off to enjoy the holidays with friends and family, but I will certainly update
here and there on Instagram.

We went to the Pittsburgh Symphony this past weekend for the annual holiday POPS
performance. It was fantastic. I have been before, but many years ago, and I
don't remember being so impressed by the show. The musicians are so incredibly
talented, and I think we will make this a yearly show because it was so festive
and really wowed us! 


This week, we celebrated Henry's 7th gotcha day anniversary! I can't believe
it's been seven years. He is the very best. We celebrated hardcore, ha! I fried
him an egg for breakfast, we went on a very long walk because I let him sniff
everything, he got to pick out a new toy, and we went to Bruster's for ice
cream. I tried to be present and give him as much attention as possible! He
loves attention, ha! 


I kicked off my holiday vacation with a fun night out with my parents and
husband to my favorite, Balvanera, and then we saw a Vince Guaraldi Charlie
Brown Christmas show at City Winery, which was so festive! 


My sister is coming home tomorrow, and I'm so excited! We are going to dinner
this weekend as a family at one of my favorite casual spots. 


I got all my Christmas wrapping done and am ready to relax. It was my busiest
holiday season work-wise, and I'm so thankful for it, but I definitely stretched
myself thin! I love taking a break because it gives me a new perspective and
recharges my creativity. 


I also got my TikTok back after it was hacked last week! I honestly could not
believe I got it back! But if you ever need help after being hacked, I'm happy
to help in any way I can because it was so stressful, and there are so many
people who helped me out, and I would love to pay it forward!

arrive before Christmas!)


Wearing: I almost wore this to the symphony! I love it, but unfortunately, it
was just too cold outside to go without pants! I still looked cute, but this is
such a fun outfit.

I was sent this set, and oh my goodness, is it amazing. The quality knocked my
socks off. The pockets in the pants are made of two separate fabrics so that the
pockets are sure to lay flat and not show through the pants. The pintuck down
the front of the pants is so slimming, and the wider waistband is incredibly
comfortable. The fabric is thick, and the side of the pants is trimmed with a
beautiful ribbon. I got a size small. I often size up to a medium in lounge
clothes for extra room but didn't need to with these. I will have the pants
hemmed a touch. I am also wearing a size small in the top. Truly a remarkably
made lounge set.

Eating: Reporting back to let you all know that Whole Foods's cinnamon rolls
were DIVINE! They come in a pack of 4, and you just leave them out for an hour
before baking. A great thing to have on hand if you are hosting overnight
guests. They're huge! They're in a freezer chest over by the bakery where the
brown butter cookie dough is! 


Drinking: If you are looking for a specialty batch cocktail to make for your
holiday gathering, try this green margarita. It's one of the best cocktails I've
ever had. It takes some more prep work than most cocktails but it's easy to make
in batches and is just so unique and impressive! It could be fun to garnish with
something red for a holiday vibe! 


Sale: Love this cardigan in 'aged sand' on sale!

Watching: We just watched Carry-On on Netflix. It's an action/thriller movie,
and it was pretty good! My husband and I both enjoyed it! I also just started
the new season of Southern Charm! I'd love any TV recs you have. I'm hoping to
binge-watch something next week in my downtime! I asked you all for recs on IG

Wanting: I'm not going anywhere warm for the foreseeable future, but if you are,
this tunic/coverup is gorgeous! This is such a gorgeous black dress, and I love
its simplicity. This swimsuit is unique and under $150. A new-to-me jewelry
brand I just discovered this week! So many gorgeous and unique pieces. This is
such a gorgeous suede handbag! A cozy but festive cardigan perfect for New
Year's Eve! I just got these jeans, and they are amazing!



Pittsburgh: I hadn't had Ramen King in a long time, but I just had it this
week. I rarely ever go out for lunch and always eat at home, but it was so cold
outside, and I was craving some warm soup. Their ramen is incredible!!! These
are knife-cut noodles that are delicious. I could not recommend this more. I got
the spicy diced chicken ramen! They are located on Washington Road in Peters!

LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEAS AND STOCKING STUFFERS

This is the *very* last gift guide for the year. PHEW!!!!!! We made it! We are
ONE WEEK away from Christmas! There is a mix of items for men/women/unisex
options, so there is a little something for everyone here! 


Prime shipping differs depending on where you live, but on my end, all of this
is Prime, so you can get it before Christmas. Sometimes, I had to change the
colors and sizes to make sure it was Prime, so keep an eye on that when adding
things to your cart to ensure it will arrive in time! 


I've read things online that, to be 'extra safe,' place all of your Prime orders
by December 20th. That's THIS Friday. But in theory, you could wait until
Sunday, December 22nd. In my experience, Prime shipping sometimes takes longer
than two days.

Tea Light Lamp// I got these earlier this year and they are the prettiest
addition to a tablescape! They come in many colors and would be perfect for
someone who loves to host!


Body Wash// I discovered this body wash this year and I love it. It's
inexpensive and comes in a large pump bottle. The scents are all pretty good,
but this is one of my favorites. It's unisex! 


Microwave Popcorn Maker// This is the easiest way to make popcorn! It's a
silicone bowl that comes with a lid and collapses for storage. You just put your
kernels in the bowl and you have popcorn in minutes. We top ours with olive oil
and truffle salt and it's the best snack. 


Travel Perfume Atomizer// A cute little stocking stuffer for the frequent
traveler. You can easily pump your perfume into this small atomizer and stow
away in your carry-on! 


Coffee Table Book// One of the prettiest coffee table books for the interior
design lover. Perfect for the one who has 'everything' as you can never have too
many books!


Drying Lotion// I love this for getting rid of zits in a day or so! It's
inexpensive and works. Great for a teen!


Teeth Whitening Strips// Love these teeth whitening strips. They are gentler and
more 'natural' than other brands and while they take a little longer to work,
they work well!


Rechargeable Lamp// I give this as a gift often! It's a mini rechargeable lamp
perfect for outdoors or when the power goes out or for a tablescape!


Athletic Socks// Love these socks so much! They are so comfortable and
high-quality. They are supposed to be a good alternative to Bomba socks. 


Blow Dry Brush// This is such a great brush, especially considering the price! 


Hand Cream// One of my favorite hand creams that dries so quickly and smells
wonderful. The Havana scent is great for both men and women!

Shower Oil// I have used this for years. It's so hydrating and smells lovely. I

Pickleball Set// I just started playing pickleball last summer, and while I'm
not great at it, it is so easy to learn and so much fun! This set is inexpensive
and has everything you need for a game for 4!

GIFT GUIDE 2024: ROUNDUP


First of all, today is Henry's Gotcha Day! If you are unfamiliar, a 'gotcha day'
is the day you adopt your pet, as most people don't know their pet's birthday if
they are adopting! So then you can celebrate the anniversary of their gotcha day
as if it were their birthday. We actually did a dog age test and got the results
in October. We were nearly spot-on with his age, and the test gave him a
birthday of January 9th, which felt serendipitous as that is also my sister's
birthday. But anyway, today we celebrate Henry! We will do all his favorite
things, like go to the pet store, pick a toy and treat, go on a car ride to get
ice cream, go on a walk, and more! He is simply the best. My very best friend,
and I love him more than anything! I can only hope he knows how deeply he is
loved and cherished! 


Now, onto today's post. Can you believe we are a little over a week from
Christmas?! I can't. Two weeks left of 2024. Absolutely bonkers if you ask me!
This Friday, December 20th, will be my last blog post for the year! I always
take off the week of Christmas into the New Year. It's integral to my mental
health and creativity after such a crazy holiday season. I am so fortunate to be
able to do that. Then, on Thursday, January 2nd, I will be back with my
regularly schedule programming! We will kick it off with the Thursday Lately
post, and then on Friday, January 3rd, I will share my favorite things 2024
