SORTING RESERVATIONS

Sorting reservations are made by email. You must email flowstaff@scripps.edu.

It is highly recommended that you plan ahead for your sorts. If you need a
specific instrument on a specific day, place reservations two weeks ahead. If
you're simply doing a single-color sort, you may be able to make the reservation
in less time, but try to place your reservation at least a week in advance.
Appointment availability varies throughout the year.

Do not start any upstream processes (i.e. injections, transfections, thaws,
stimulations) unless you have a reservation already made.

Please include the following information for all sort requests:

 * Name
 * Scripps Research Account Code
 * Principle Investigator
 * Organization
 * PO Number (if not affiliated with Scripps Research)
 * Desired Sort Dates/Times
 * Cell Origin/Species
 * Tissue or cell line name
 * Parameters (include all fluorescent antibodies, proteins, and dyes)
 * Number of Samples to sort
 * Estimated number of cells per sample
 * Collection methood (description of tubes or plates)
 * Purpose of sort (culture, DNA/RNA isolation, transplantation, etc.)

LUNCH & LEARN: FLUOROFINDER

Please join us for a lunch and learn seminar to find out more about IntelliPanel
from FluoroFinder.

Seminar: Tools for Panel Design and Spectral Visualization

Does it feel like you have to be an expert regarding reagents, instrumentation
and biology to build an optimized multicolor flow cytometry panel? The
complexity can feel overwhelming as the technology progresses past 18
fluorescent parameters and into >30 color Spectral Flow Cytometry. IntelliPanel
from FluoroFinder is an application that automatically recommends reagent
combinations based on the specific instrument configurations in your lab,
antigen abundance, spectral spillover between fluorophores and overall spectral
complexity of co-expression groups within the panel. IntelliPanel is also driven
by machine learning, where experts make common changes and choices that inform
future recommendations.

Presented by: Kelly Lundsten, Director Product Innovation, FluoroFinder

Date: Tuesday, August 15, 2023

Time: 12-1:00 PM

Location: Beckman Keck Amphitheater (Keck)

RSVP: (including any dietary restrictions): flowstaff@scripps.edu

LUNCH & LEARN BIORAD

Please join us for a lunch and learn seminar to find out more about the Bio-Rad
StarBright Dyes.

Seminar: Build Bigger, Better Panels with StarBrightTM Dyes from Bio-Rad

With the advancement of technology, flow cytometers are now able to detect a
much greater range of fluorescent dyes, facilitating the analysis of more
extensive and complex multicolor immunophenotyping assays. However, this has
also introduced more pitfalls to navigate during experimental design.

Join this lunch and learn seminar to find out how StarBright Dyes and best
practices can help circumvent many of these issues, enabling consistent and
reliable results.

Presented by: Anjilna Wali, Bio-Rad

Date: Tuesday, August 1, 2023

Time: 12-1:45 PM

Location: Immunology East Conference Room (IMM-204X)
